Hobos run ends

After seventeen consecutive trips to the post season the Kansas City Hobos were eliminated from playoff contention for the 1995 season when [url=http://beta.simdynasty.com/boxscore.jsp?boxscoreid=59516&cityid=5]Detroit downed Tampa Bay 2-1[/url] in 10 innings in game #152.Nice run but now they're losers just like all the other losers .

I love how despite how they won over 100 games this season and yet still they return to loserdom.
During their record breaking 17 year run (1978-1995)
-The Hobos placed first 15 of those years, and "settled" for the Wild Card in 1982 and 1994.
-Went to the World Series 11 times
-Won it 6 times
-Tied the # of consecutive series won (1990-1992) with the 1987-1989 NY Knights
-(side note, the NY Knights set the record for most consecutive WS appeared in during the Hobos streak. It's 6, from 1987-1992. 5 of them were vs. the Hobos)
Anyway, congrats Hobos, and welcome to Sim Golf in October.

I was gonna mention this at the end of the season.I love how despite how they won over 100 games this season and yet still they return to loserdom.

Not really, I just happened to check in to see if anything was happening with the strikeout thingy and saw that I had clinched the wildcard so I thought I'd use the opportunity to talk some smack about MFCS Hobos.

you see I checked in to discover that the season is over (again) and my team was historically bad - but then again if I'm expected to bid on and sign my own FAs what do you expect

are you still there then? and if you are why? For some reason I just never got "engaged" in that league - Probably partly because I didn't have any success and partly because a certain owner was an a$$Pages: 1
