coach point trading is it fair for the other teams working within their 20 points ? i have some doubts.

It's been a debate here in the MCL for a long time about CP trading. Unfortunately we had one owner leave because he disagreed with it. It is something we have always done , guess it kinda got grandfathered into acceptance right, wrong, or indifferent.

Some leagues have players who trade cp's all the time, and some leagues (even dynasty ones) all the players agree among themselves to not use this strategy. The Johnny Bench league for example didn't see a single cp trade in 46 seasons. Only once it was attempted and we as a league forced a reversal on it.
So far this league is the only one i'm in who allow to trade cp's, To be honest i'm curious to see the consequences good or bad on the teams involved.
I hope you had fun in your first season with us, I wish to see you stick around and rebuild the SF team.

Plus, it isn't a disadvantage. I believe when it's my turn to buy cps I pay a handsome rate for them. And when it cycles to where I sell those cps I get very valuable veterans to compliment my team. I thinks it's an effective tool to buy and sell an asset. And yes I understand the argument that real teams don't sell off their coaching and an opposing team doesn't train another teams players. But in real life every organization isn't made to limit the amount of players that can grow every year they try to nurture everyone equally.
Again, it is the most ideal situation? No. Can I understand the other side of the argument? Yes.

It has always worked well for us. I think the strategy has helped many teams rebuild on a faster pace. A perennial loser over 5 or so seasons who drafts young like I do can't develop all the players under the 5/5/5/3/2 system. For example this year I drafted 3 17 year olds in the 1st round. I believe all 3 to be all star caliber players. But my team is still horrible. If I end up with a top pick again next season how can I develop another player if there isnt a major league ready player? Or what if the best prospect is also 17?
