He holds a number of Career Records that includes Hits-3708, Runs-2271 & Doubles-630. He was 14 time All Star & 8 time MVP. The GREATEST All Around Player I have ever seen is Oscar Gary and he is the first member of the Hall of Fame. I was not in his league but I have read alot about him. Please the owner of Oscar Gary please write up a article about him stating all his accomplishments. I will do my best to put somthing together now.

2nd Induction into the Hall of Fame is:

Turtle Lobos, RF

Turtle is a legacy in this game of Sim Dynasty as a durable, hard nose, selfish, winning player, and with those MVP's a GREAT ALL AROUND 5 Tool Player. The man did it all, he stole bases, hit, hit for power, hit for extrabases, got on base, played defense.......I mean you can't ask for more. In addition to all his personal accomplishments his team won and won alot over his 19 yr career. They had 18 of 19 winning seasons, 3 World Series, 7 Division Titles, 11 playoff appearances.

Chub Stahoviak, Closer
Satchel Paige League.

Chub Stahoviak was the GREATEST Closer in History of Sim Dynasty, their is no doubt about it. He holds the record for career SV's with a MONTEROUS number of 908. He probably pitched more games than anyone else too with 1127. The stories I have heard about this player are truely amazing. He had BACK to BACK season of an ERA under 1 in 1957 and 1958. He pitched for 20 seasons and had 60 or more SV's 3 times. He was born to close games. Other Accomplishment were:

8 World Series Championships
6 Fireman Awards
4 Runner up in Fireman Award
19 Allstar Games

Barney Hatteberg, CF
Eddie Stankey League.

Barney's numbers, while not the best ever in any SD category, are solid. Especially outstanding are:

HR: 549 (leads the ESL by a wide margin)
BA: .340 (in 9276 AB)
OBP: .407
SLG: .603
OPS: 1.010

He was a starting all-star 10 times in his career and had 8 appearances on the MVP list, winning it once. He had 12 playoff appearances, winning 5 rings.

Roy Solorzano, C
Hank Aaron League.

Roy was a one of a kind player who was a catcher with GREAT POWER. He was drafted in 1950 as 21 yr old and played full time for 18 season's only missing 1 or 2 games a season. He lead his team to 8 Division Titles, 3 Wild Cards, 11 total Playoff appearances, 3 NLCS Titles and 1 World Series Championship. Here are some of his accomplishments:

AllStar Games: 16
Hrs: 637--------> Tops in all of Sim Dynasty History.

He just played year in year out every single season until he retired. He is definately one of the best players ever made my Sim Dynasty.

He is a true 5 tool player having commited only 27 errors at 3B in 2284 games, once going over 400 consecutive games without an error.
He had a .300+ batting average 15 consecutive seasons.

Started as reliever and made the all-star team each year (first 6 and last one) as a reliever. Made the club 18 times out of 20 years playing.

Was a starter for 13 years and still amassed 310 wins.

6 out of 13 years as a starter he had an ERA of under 2.00, and once as a reliever, and sported a WHIP of under 1 six times.

Career ERA of 2.32 and a WHIP of 1.04.

5 time Cy Young winner and won 4 straight (58-61) and lost in '63 to a 30 game winner. He finished in top 3 a total of 9 times.

134 CG, 55 SHO and struck out 200 guys 4 times, if that means anything. Plus ABE jobbed him into retirement a year too early. Atleast he went out on top.

Harry Denson, 1B
Satchel Paige League

Harry Denson of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the Satchel Paige League hangs 'em up after 22 seasons and collecting 4,232 Hits. After entering the league in 1960, at age 18, winning the Rookie of the Year award, Denson's career included 3 MVP awards (back to back in '67 and '68), two second place finishes for MVP and 13 first team all-star appearances (12 at third base and his 13th, at age 38 as a first baseman). A career .304 hitter with 501 home runs and 727 stolen bases (amazing .819 stolen base pct.). To go with all of that offense, Denson was an excellent fielder committing only 137 errors in 3,506 games and 3,200 of those games at third base.

Denson, who will be among the all time leaders in most offensive categories in SIM history, had 12 playoff appearances including 6 World Series.

16th Induction into the Hall of Fame is:

Damon Nieves, 1B
Eddie Stankey League

Damon started his 20 year career by winning the ROY in a landslide. He was so good, he even appeared on the MVP list that year, one of 9 appearances he made on the MVP list. He was MVP 5 times, including 4 in a row from 63-66. He was also the AL All Star starter at SS 14 times in a row, and finished with 15 starts and 17 All-Star appearances. He ended up in the top 5 All SD in Games, Doubles, and Walks (and perhaps others). He led the ESL all time in those categories, plus Hits, Runs, Singles, and At Bats. All the walks gave him an OBP of .393. He could also hit for some power, with 424 HRs to his credit and a .494 slugging percentage. His most interesting numbers are only 41 errors in his 20 year career (5 years of 160+ games with 0 errors, with one 4 year span having only 1 error), and he had more walks than strikeouts, which (I think) hasn't been seen before in any SD standout. He appeared 6 times in the playoffs, with 2 world series appearances.

Fred was received the most allstar votes among fielders on 9 playoff or 100 win teams and was top on his team from 1968-1980
Fred is currently the player with the latest debut of any Hall of Famers playing from 1964-1981
Fred lost at least one more MVP award due to the stolen base overvaluation

Fred has done most of the work on his own as he is only the 2nd Phlop to even make the top 5 in MVP voting.

18th Induction into the Hall of Fame is:

Big Ed Dalesandro, 1B
Lou Gehrig League

Well I was hoping he'd stick around another year to break virtually every LOU record, as well as the SD-wide RBI record, but Big Ed Dalesandro finally retired this year, even though he is still B+ or higher rated in every hitting category. An iron man who never played less than 162 games until late in his career with his health fading, Big Ed put up some impressive numbers in his 17 seasons.

AB-11232
Runs-2079
Hits-3413
2B-573
3B-166
HR-543
RBI-2151--> 2nd in all of SD
BB-1097
SB-508 (79% success)
career ratios: .304/.368/.529 .897 OPS

After narrowly winning the ROY over 2 teammates in 67, he went on to appear on the All Star team 11 straight years from 70-80, starting for the NL 8 times. He also won 4 MVPs, and finished in the Top 5 four other times. He would have won more MVPs if his teammates hadn't won it 4 times during his career. In 1979, he shattered the LOU single season RBI record with 203, besting the previous record by 29. He followed that up with 172 in 1980, making 375 for the 2 year stretch, which could easily be a record, though I can't verify that. Keep in mind he was 34-35 when he put up those 2 impressive seasons. He even put up 20 HR, 20 SB, 111 RBI in his final season as a 38 yr old, so age never took the fight out of Big Ed. With Big Ed at the helm, STL made the playoffs 10 consecutive years from 72-81, making 6 WS and winning 3.

19th Induction into the Hall of Fame is:

Bill Johnson, 1B
Lou Gehrig League

Bill was a player that came to the Sim ballpark to play hard everyday. He never won a championship but left his heart on the field everyday. He hit 529 HR's and stole over 600 bases in his 18 yr career. He only made the All Start team 5 seasons because Sim Dynasty Hall of Famers Big Ed Dalesandro & Fred Fehring also played 1B in the Lou Gehrig league at the same time and he was the odd man out even though he put up monster number his whole career. In the MVP voting it was the same thing Big Ed and Fred would beat him out.
Bill Johnson is only the 2nd player in Sim Dynasty history to hit 500 Hrs and steal 600 bases. the only other player to do that is Turtle Lobos who stole 803 bases and hit 518 Hrs. Bill wanted to come back for 1 more season but ABE would not let him.

20th Induction into the Hall of Fame is:

Charlie Vitko, 2B
Roberto Clemente League

was by far the greatest player to toe the batter's box from the Roberto Clemente League, a league famed for giving the slight edge to pitchers as Vitko's career numbers at first glance would seem surprisingly mediocre, but though he never put up the monster numbers that were popularized by 1956 Triple Crown winner Bill MacDonald or early 40+ HR sluggers like Zachary Zymet, Vitko was a 20-year Brooklyn veteran that made his presence felt day in and day out, taking only one game off each healthy season to observe some kind of ritualistic "hopka," as he ambiguously dubbed it.

"Sorry Charlie" snagged Rookie of the Year honors in 1950, when at the age of 20 he slugged 35 homeruns (his career high, ironically enough) for a failing but young Brooklyn Al Franken ball club. He also cracked the All-Star team as a backup, the only prospect to do so.

He showed his first hint at superstardom when at the age of 23 he cracked the MVP voting, placing 4th overall in the entire league and starting the All-Star game for the 3rd consecutive season after his rookie year.

Vitko earned his first MVP in the 1957 season, when he batted an unusually MVP low .298, despite putting up five-tool numbers with 120 R, 32 HR, 136 RBI and stealing 28 of 30 bases to bring home the honors. He won follow-up MVP awards in '58 and '59, finishing in the top 5 for eight straight seasons from '57 to '64, the last in which he missed the triple crown by a mere 3 homeruns and 4 RBI, numbers posted by his backstop teammate Nick Blades*. Were it not for an injury-plagued 1955 season, it was likely that Vitko would have strung along 16 consecutive All-Star berths, as from 1956-65, Vitko made the All-Star team, cracking first team 11 times of 15 total (1951-54, 1957-62, 1964).

Even when his abilities began to go downhill, Charlie insisted on playing as much as he could, putting every effort into every play or every swing at the plate, until he was finally platooned at second base in 1969, a decision that left him feeling betrayed by management which led to his decision to retire at the end of the season.

Sorry Charlie only played for a pennant only twice, with his team losing both times to the Milwaukee Bravos, but when asked in a 1976 interview, he said that he wouldn't trade all 20 years in Brooklyn for a single Championship ring.

21 Induction into the Hall of Fame is:

Anthony Blake, 3B
Eddie Stankie League

His stats speak for themselves. He was ROY, 8 time all star, MVP twice and 3 WS rings but he spent a majority of his time on a mediocre team. He elevated it and played. Hurt once for 11 days in his entire career. All this in a very good and established league.

In a league full of HOFers, Roger always seemed to be 2nd best. He lost the ROY by 24 votes in 1967 to teammate HOFer Big Ed Dalesandro. He finished 2nd in the MVP voting 4 times (72, 73, 76, 77 by an AVERAGE of 10 votes), 3 of those to Big Ed. He finally won his own MVP in 1980 at the age of 34. He appeared on 13 straight All-star teams, 10 as a starter, from 1970 to 1982. He always remained a team player, though, averaging 159 games over his 20 yr career, and contributing to STL's run of 11 straight 100 win seasons. STL won 7 Division Titles, 3 Wild Cards, 6 NL Championships, and 3 World Series Titles with Santa covering SS. Not bad for a man that started out as a 17 C- overall with D+/C+ vs R!

Beau Williams, SP
Warren Spahn League, Philadelphia Pie Floaters

Beau was dominant right from the start in the WSL and won his first Cy Young at the age of 22 in 1952. He had a reputation as being a tireless workhorse who started at least 36 games a year for 18 consecutive seasons. Beau had a blazing fastball and struck out over 200 hitters in a season an amazing 15 times including 10 straight seasons of 200 or more strikeouts from '50 to 59. He cemented his reputation as the best power pitcher in the history of SD by throwing a SD record 4197 punch outs in his illustrious career. Throw in a couple of no hitters, 16 all-star appearances and a career WHIP of 1.07 i think we can all agree Beau Williams is a deserved inductee in the Hall of Fame and the first member to come from the Warren Spahn League

Philadelphia Phillies, Yogi Berra League

His final counting statistics speak for themselves, but Callison also won two MVP awards (1971 & 1972), appeared in the playoffs 17 out of his 21 seasons, and won nine World Championships.

The longtime Phillie leadoff hitter batted in front of two possible SD HOFers, Ron Santo and Costen Shockley. The Cleanup hitter, Joe Verbanic, was also a 3000-500 man. Callison also hold's SD's Iron Man mark with 2593 consecutive games played, just short of Ripken's ML record.
According to Tyson's lists, he's also the SD record holder for career at-bats and hit-by-pitches.

Philadelphia Phillies, Yogi Berra League

Santo was the Phillie's no. 2 hitter for most of his career, batting between Johhny Callison and Costen Shockley. To go with his 9 rings and playoff appearences in 17 of 20 seasons, Santo managed to win six MVP awards (1969, 1970, 1973, 1974, 1976, 1977) in a league full of talent.

In 1976 he had one of the greatest years by an SD hitter in any league, setting site-wide records for walks (116) and runs (an unbelievable 200 runs scored).

His decline phase came quickly, but his counting stats are still massive: 3844 hits, 547 HRs, 2451 runs scored, and a respectable .299 career BA

RSL

Morrie was a player who early in his career put up good but not earth-shattering numbers. He made a few all-star teams, but got little notice around the league. Then at age of 32 he had an incredible three-year stretch in which he posted an OPS over 1.000 each season. This boosted him to the forefront league, and he continued to chug out solid seasons anchoring the Ghost of Idol's lineup until retiring at the age of 41 with:

5 WS titles
8 NL titles
1956 NL ROY
3 NL MVPs
8 time all-star (7 as a starter)
571 career HRs (#2 in RSL history)
.301 career BA
.878 career OPS
253 career SBs (never more then 7 CS)
3779 hits (RSL record)
(he is also #2 in RSL history in runs, RBIs and doubles)

Never flashy, always solid, Morrie Hodge.

Chicago Nationals, NRL

Randy Walker has by far been the best player in the Nolan Ryan League. The Nolan Ryan League is a league that ended short due to problems and other issues. So Walkers Career was cut short. In the 10 seasons he played he posted a Sim Dynasty record .373 Batting average. Along with .640 record SLG and .450 record OBP. He hit 372 homeruns, and 1257 rbis. He had 385 stolen bases and 140 triples. He got walked 768 times. He has won 5 MVP awards, in the other 5 seasons, 4 of them he finished second in MVP and in his 1955 season he had an injury whish took him out of the race. He was an all-star 9 times. In Walkers career he was on a winning team, he made it to the playoffs 5 times, and has 3 World Series rings, which 2 came back-to-back, and 4 World Series appearances. Randy Walker was the best hitter the Sim Dynasty has EVER seen. Broke the records for career AVG., SLG., OBP., and OPS. Lets look at some average totals:

Averages PER season for 10 Season's

Hrs: 37
RBI's: 125
Runs: 132
Hits: 220
SB's: 39
AVG.: .373
SLG.: .669
OBP.: .448
OPS.: 1.117

By far the best hitter to that was forced into retirement EVER!!!!

Philly, YBL

I don't know much about Shockley but I do know he played 25 season's in the majors which is a record in Sim Dynasty. He played till he was 42 years old. He holds the Sim Dynasty Records in:

Hits - Costen Shockley 4,605 - YBL
RBI - Costen Shockley 2,684 - YBL
Runs - Costen Shockley 2,797 - YBL
2B - Costen Shockley 802 - YBL
AB - Costen Shockley 15,124 - YBL
G - Costen Shockley 3,781 - YBL
BB - Costen Shockley 1,853 - YBL
K's - Costen Shockley 2,206 - YBL

That is amazing. I know he also won a ton of World Series Rings. His card say's 7 but it could be more. I am waiting for the write up on this Iron Man of Sim Dynasty........
