Some upgrades?

I know i dont post much, but i have a few ideas that may have been brought up before.

1) Batting Order.
I think this should of been addressed a long time ago. Something to where we can put our lineup in for say (game 50) in advance. Make 6/12/18 games of lineups available or full season at once. It would cut down on players resting at once. Adding a first ph of bench and or first sub for each game. Could get younger players in the games more or best hitter playing in more games. Sitting out for a game and pinch hitting or defense sub should not keep energy level low but still giving it a little boost.
2) Overall Rated Players.
Is it just me or is there way to many any rated A players in this game?. There's no real team in MLB that'll have 20 A rated players on team ever. A team is built from many kinds of players and different kind of strategies. Forget the variable development, just make it that either a player improves or he doesn't!! It's that simple.. Adding if a player has good year or down year, can get a little extra improvement or lose improvements even at a young age. From the age of 18 to 36. Draft a B or B+ player at 18 he can play right away. Any player in that age group can be the big league or minor league and produce the same improvements. Make it to we have to build a team and which leads into the next one.
3) Building To Win
Build a defensive team with awesome pitching but your hitters suck! Or your an offensive team with subpar pitching with bad defense! Face off in the championship game.. Make it to were defense is as important as hitting and pitching. And Velocity is as important as Control and the same goes with hitting. High contact with great speed as important as Power hitter. But not every rating has be in the A's for a player to be good. Playing a 5th pitcher could be a B- rated player or catcher is C+ rated but a gold glove range with a great arm and placement of the ball can make that pitcher a B to B+ like good catchers do.
4) Mentoring
Its a broken system on this site already. The worst players are the better mentors and leaders and when rebuilding you gotten play really bad players to try and get B overall mentoring. You can't even get B+ with hitters playing 3 A+ and 3 A- mentors. I get it, you dont want someone trying to play 25 , 25 and under players at once. Making the minor systems obsolete. Bench players are the mentors and teachers of the game. The best players are usually the leaders.
Adding a couple more Ratings
Speed/Baserunning should a new one, you dont need A speed to get a double. Its called good base running IQ and there's some pretty slow players that are great at running the bases and knowing when to run. Drafting a slow 18 year old , hes still gonna be slow turning 22 maybe a little quicker but not from C to B.
Eye/ Patient
Contact is completely different they being patient. This could be where you get a player that walks a lot being patient but low eye and contact can still strikeout a lot or a good eye that doesn't strikeout much at but both can make the pitcher tired faster.
IQ's baseball IQ for offence and defense and pitching.. One way to help scout what a player could be or having a high IQ his rating are a little better then they appear.
One Dominant pitch for a pitcher i think would be cool. A+ velocity with a nasty curveball or A+ control with a nice slider to strikeout out a few more batters. Every prospect gets two and in time goes down to the one that improves. Each pitch does something different, just like in reality.
I like this game, i really do but i do believe you guys need to start updating and get back to upgrading and improving it to keep everyone and to bring in newbies.. There is more i wanted to write down but no time and this takes to long on my phone lol

Just a few points of discussion from me.

1. I'd love to be able to do something similar to what I feel you're trying to say. Of course, we could do that from what we have now, but it's quite clunky, and having to change settings every game gets cumbersome.

2a. Talent in a league is relative. If everyone is rated A in the league, then the individual players are not much better than league average. I guess it would kind of be like saying if most MLB players are rated around A or A-, then AAA players would be closer to B, and so on. If you look at it this way, most MLB teams would have a good number of solid players, which would be the equivalent of your A grade in this case.

2b. I kind of like the idea that performance ties into improvements. If a player has a breakout year, it would be nice to see a little boost in their improvement, like they put in work over the offseason or something to get there. I would disagree with making improvements the same in both majors and minors. That would render the minor league system obsolete, in a way, and even in the MLB, you rarely see players younger than 20 in the majors.

3. Every team has their strengths and weaknesses. Yes, you can go to the World Series with fantastic pitching backed with solid defense, but most teams try to balance their approach to some degree. The importance of pitching, batting, and defense varies year after year, based on how a team, or how the league plays. There's nothing stopping you from valuing hitting over pitching, and making moves in that regard.

4. I agree that mentoring is odd in this game. In my mind, I would rationalize it to maybe the player being a jerk, and a clubhouse cancer?

5. I like the idea of the pitch thing. I feel like it would add a layer of depth to the game. Like a pitcher with a crafty changeup to keep hitters off-balance, or a good sinker that induces more ground balls or something.

I don't know how hard these ideas would be to implement, though.
