TRIPLET DAD HALL OF FAME
*Dickie Upright, Inf, Wash. Swamp Monkeys 1951-63 The Monkeys were able to snag Dickie as an undrafted free agent in 1951. He was promoted to the big team a year later and singled in his one and only at bat. Dickie\'s last stint in the majors was 1956, but he stayed on as player/coach in the minors until 1963. Upon retirement, he was able to devote full time to selling weenies in the Monkey parking lot, and remains the unofficial Sim Dynasty Viagra spokesman to this very day. Perhaps his greatest claim to fame is having the best ABE original game in SD history. And also, he has spawned several generations of Uprights.
*J.S. Binkie, RP, Wash. Swamp Monkeys 1950-1967 -- Binkie is his league\'s all time leader in saves and games by a pitcher, 2nd in ERA, 5th in WHIP. He won 2 WS rings, won the league Fireman award 7 times and was an all star 14 times.
*J.P. Branco, SP, St. Louis Spider Monkeys 1950-1967 -- In 18 seasons, Branco amassed 300 wins 3168 strikeouts. His 60 shutouts place him 1st in league history, 20 ahead of the closest competetor. He pithed in over 4500 innings, compiling a 3.01 ERA. Branco ranks in the top 5 in every major pitching category.
*Kyle Paciello, 2B, Kansas City Sea Monkeys 1950-67 -- Paciello was the best hitter of his generation. He held all major batting records upon his retirement. During his 18 year career, all with the Sea Monkeys, he hit 487 HR, 3280 hits, 563 2B, an a career .323 average. Kyle was the ROY in 1950, was a 2 time AL MVP, and was on 11 all star teams.
*J.S. Binkie, SP, Kansas City Sea Monkeys 1950-66 -- Binkie retired after the 1966 season. He pitched all 17 seasons in a monkey outfit. During his stellar career, he won 321 games, including a still standing record 31 in 1960. His 234 strikeouts was a longstanding T.D. record. All told, this Binkie won 3 times as many games as he lost, pitched 4066.2 innings and retired with a 3.01 ERA and 2811 strikeouts. He was a 12 time all star and won the Cy Young Award for the AL 7 times. He led the Monkeys to the playoffs 15 times, taking home 5 chapmpionships.
*Dickie Upright Jr, 1B/3B, Wash. Swamp Monkeys 1963-1982 Wrapped up his 18 year career after the 1982 season, playing his entire career in Washington. Little Dickie retired with 1046 stolen bases (1st place in LBJL and most in all of SD from what I can tell), 3087 hits (8th all time and one of 13 players to amass more than 3000 hits), 1948 runs scored (5th), 2186 singles (3rd), 510 doubles (15th), 158 triples (2nd), 10784 AB\'s (4th), 1281 walks (3rd). He saw action in 7 playoffs, taking home 1 WS ring. His future plans include joining his father in weenie sales in the Washington parking lot and also making future Dickie Uprights.
*Willie Upright, 2B/SS, Wash. Swamp Monkeys 1963-1982 Wrapped up his career along side his half brother. He spent 19 full seasons in a monkey uniform. Big Willie has amassed 472 career hr (5th all time), 1913 rbi (4th all time) and a .296 career average. He has NEVER been caught stealing.
He also has career marks of 3220 hits (4th all time), 1795 runs (7th), 2132 singles (5th), 537 doubles (6th), 10875 AB\'s (3rd), 2769 games (2nd), 1195 walks (11th).
