guys who should get into the hall of fame who are retired but are not yet eligable (this does NOT include Pete Rose)January 09, 2004 at 05:55AM View BBCode
i think jose will have a chance. he had the first 40/40 season, and his career numbers are good, especilally since you consider the problems in the late part of his career.January 09, 2004 at 03:50PM View BBCode
i would say Jose is good enough, and I'm not sure whther or not I would put him in, but if he was a popular player that everyone liked like Cal Ripken was then he would get in, but since he's an asshole that no one likes it really hurts his chances.January 09, 2004 at 08:20PM View BBCode
u think that paul oneil will be a HoF?? i liked oneill but he didnt seem to be a guy that put up amazing numbers like a mgwire or clemens.January 10, 2004 at 01:59AM View BBCode
Henderson is semi-retired and he is a first ballot guy (I guess he isn't really retired yet).January 10, 2004 at 02:38AM View BBCode
Does he have a contract yet?January 10, 2004 at 07:44PM View BBCode
he said O'neil was good, but not good enough for the hall.January 11, 2004 at 02:43PM View BBCode
I gotta be a homer in this HOF discussion, where's the love for Ryne Sandberg??January 15, 2004 at 11:47PM View BBCode
how about joe jackson? i think he should be reinstatedJanuary 16, 2004 at 01:16AM View BBCode
Joe Jackson can rot, he can be in the Hall of Fame when the rapture comes.January 16, 2004 at 01:17AM View BBCode
this website wants Jackson reinstated.January 16, 2004 at 02:17AM View BBCode
I've been there before. It's interesting stuff, and it's nice that those guys care enough to make a website for the cause. The fact is that Joe Jackson accepted money and had guilty knowledge of the fix. I don't care if he hit 1.000, when he took that money he knew what was going on, so therefore he was a conspirator.January 16, 2004 at 02:37AM View BBCode
Canseco doesn't stand a chance, he hit too few home runs, and after some good years he basically rotted away. It doesn't help the law problems he has had. He didn't even get to 500 home runs, didn't have a great average, and in the latter part of his carrer was no good at all. He stands about as much of a chance of getting into the hall as Pete rose does of being named Most Trustworthy person of the decadeJanuary 16, 2004 at 05:22AM View BBCode
Joe Jackson took money but didn't intentionally play bad (he screwed the gamblers). Still, he needs to stay out.January 16, 2004 at 05:43AM View formatted

Cicotte might have a better HOF case than Jackson anyway, he has some nice stats...January 16, 2004 at 07:37AM View BBCode
If he had not taken money and gotten banned for it, he would have played longer and probably would have gotten in.January 16, 2004 at 03:18PM View BBCode
Enough about Joe Jackson, who's already had enough ink wasted on him as it is. Some guys who haven't gotten nearly the respect they deserve from HOF voters:January 17, 2004 at 02:39PM View BBCode
They should do a revote, only this time take Paul Molitor off and replace him with Goose Gossage...January 19, 2004 at 11:03PM View BBCode
Alan Trammel... he played for the crappy Tigers, and now he coaches the crappier tigers. according to the MVP voting of the people on this website, he is a definate NO!January 20, 2004 at 03:57PM View BBCode
Andre Dawson, Ryne Sandburg shoudl be in.January 20, 2004 at 05:24PM View BBCode
I don't know about anyone else, but in my opinion if you're a corner outfielder with a .323 career on-base percentage, you'd better have some pretty overwhelming qualifications in other areas to be considered a Hall of Famer. Andre Dawson was, by all accounts, one hell of a guy, but there are a whole lot of guys who have better qualifications them him who are never going anywhere near the Hall of Fame.January 20, 2004 at 05:38PM View BBCode
Dawson was a CF who won 8 gold gloves (i tihnk it was 8), not a corner outfielder.Pages: 1 2
