Your assignment tonight, Duff, is to write "non-story" on the blackboard 100 times.September 19, 2008 at 04:18AM View BBCode
All I can say is that it's more relevant than internet access on an airplane.September 19, 2008 at 04:25AM View BBCode
Is that where he was hiding it all this time?September 19, 2008 at 04:40AM View BBCode
Liz has some possibility of having skill in the future. He was a top 9 prospect last year for the orioles...i think.September 19, 2008 at 04:41AM View BBCode
Eh hem... Sorry, you said Saturday. Liz pitches Friday. Saturday and Sunday it's undetermined, who has a better record than anyone on the current Orioles staff, so--I'm feeling good about it.September 19, 2008 at 05:19AM View BBCode
We put a big sticker on his forehead when we sent him to you: As is, no warranties, no refunds or exchanges. Look, he's only out 6 to 9 months with shoulder surgery. He'll be fine.September 19, 2008 at 05:29AM View BBCode
Here's the catch--he's arbitration eligible this winter, and he'll require a minimum $6 million salary. It's high unlikely the M's will want to pay him $6 mill to sit out half of '09, which means that he'll almost certainly sign elsewhere. In other words, we gutted our farm system for 80 meaningless innings.September 19, 2008 at 05:40AM View BBCode
Well, stop letting Ignite run your team into the ground.September 19, 2008 at 11:39AM View BBCode
Its not like Schilling is putting up any ideas that people don't know.September 19, 2008 at 12:02PM View BBCode
I thought that maybe Josh Howard had made another outrageous and indefensible statement with the title of this thread. I'm a little disappointed...September 19, 2008 at 02:59PM View BBCode

God, I hate this trade.

It hardly matters. If he comes back in the middle of 09 he'll throw about forty pitches and go back on the DL. Back when the O's fans on the other board I frequent were pushing to sign him, I was pushing to trade him ASAP, and this is exactly why. I knew he was damaged goods. One injury? Fine--you get another one within the next two years, you aren't worth the risk.September 23, 2008 at 09:09PM View BBCode
the thing is that Bedard was the ace that we needed. If he werent damaged goods, id be pissed about the trade. Our pitching is really terrible, and thats the difference between our team and a contender.September 24, 2008 at 03:02AM View BBCode
