I will be referring to them as "THAAAAAAAAAAAAAA YANKEES WIN!" from now on.February 16, 2004 at 06:06AM View BBCode
Watch the Yanks get lazy and only with 100 to 105 games. They should be able to win 125 without breaking a sweat, but they won't. The sad part is they can play lazy and still win the East without a problem. This is like living next to the SimCity that used too many cheat codes. It's just no fun...except for New York.February 16, 2004 at 06:21AM View formatted

I would put money on it. Pedro-Schilling-Lowe-Wakefield-Kim.February 16, 2004 at 12:25PM View BBCode
Well, all things being equal, Boston's pitching can probably match New York's--or maybe be a little better. But you'd be hard pressed to make me believe the hitting talent is equal. But like always, it's all a matter of if's. If the top players all play at the top of their games, Boston's pitching could allow them to hold on for awhile...I just don't seem them hitting enough to make up the difference... Not that they won't hit or anything. But you know, like I said, same s*** different year. Every February we ask ourselves if the Red Sox can be good enough to beat the Yankees...which anymore is a question of if they can SPEND enough, and like clockwork, the Red Sox always come up short. Is it too much to ask that there be a POSSIBLITY that someone else in the East can win the division? I guess so.February 16, 2004 at 01:49PM View BBCode
