These rules are a rough draft, and some areas will be open to suggestion

Schedule of Games:
We will play either 9 or 12 games a day. We will take a vote and decide by a majority how many games we want to play every day.

Major League Roster:
Teams must carry at least 2 catcher on the major league roster. A catcher is defined as anyone with catching as his natural position, or a rating of C or better at catcher as a secondary rating. You can only have a catcher play catcher, as the penalty for playing a guy out of position at catcher isnâ??t that bad. The only exception to this rule is if you want to train another player to play catcher. If you want to do that then you may put a guy who plays any position at catcher, but he must play there the entire season. He also must be under the age of 23 when the season starts. This doesnâ??t exempt you from having to carrying 2 catchers on your roster; it just allows you to train a new catcher.

Off Season:

Player Names:
Each team must rename their players with names from the team you control. For example Cincinnati can only use names of players who played for Cincinnati. Also so that we incorporate more names, each team will be allowed to select 1 other team that is not part of the league (like Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays) and use players from that team. The only teams that will not be able to select another team will be the Yankees and the Cubs,(due to their not being 32 team in MLB) since both of those teams have been around for a very long time and have more players to choose from. Also once a player retires his named may be re-used by the team whom his name belongs. A players name may not be changed after he is renamed. Duplicate names will be resolved with the team who he spent the majority (at-bats or innings pitched) of his career getting the rights to that name.

Waiver Wire:
You are allowed only 1 waiver wire pickup per real time day for the 1st 5 real time days following the Amateur draft. After those first 5 days are up, it is a free for all, until it comes to the playoffs. There is to be no waiver wire deals during the playoffs or amateur draft. The waiver wire starts up on the 1st day of the regular season.

Trading:
There is a trade deadline of August 31(simtime). This doesnâ??t mean no trading can go on after this date, it just means that no players acquired may be on your playoff roster. Draft pick trading is allowed, but there is no cp point trading. You must post the draft picks under the topic Draft Picks. Also there is no trading during the playoffs, but you may negotiate with other teams during this time, but you have to accept the deal after the WS is finished.

Unfair Trades:
If you think a trade is unfair, u2u me. If I get 3 u2uâ??s about it, then I will send a message to owners involved in the trade, and ask them to explain themselves to the league. Then the trade will go to a vote in front of the league. It requires 8 votes to be vetoed.

Playoff and Injuries:
During the playoffs if your pitcher gets injured, he is allowed to be sent to the minors for the duration of the injury, and another pitcher may be called up. When you want to bring the pitcher who was injured back up to the majors, you must send back down the person who was called up in the 1st place to replace him. You may not send down a injured hitter under any circumstances.

Lost owners:
If an owner is gone for more than 1 week with out first notifying me, then his team will be given to another owner. Yes I know it is your own money, but for the good of the league this rule is in place. It isnâ??t that hard to notify me, all you have to do is send me a u2u saying, I will be out of town for the next weekâ?? only 10 words.

Initial Draft:
We will have our initial draft, then we will be dropping our first 10-15 picks(we will vote on how many). Then we will have a live draft for these picks in the same order in which the 1st draft went, and instead of going to pick 16 then it being the 1st guys pick again, we will be doing a snake draft order (if you need to know what that is, just ask). This makes the draft fairer. We will vote on a time. If you canâ??t make the draft, we will make sure there is at least a day between the initial draft, and the live draft. During this time I will expect to get a list of players ranked from top choice to last choice(the list might be 160 to 240 players long depending on how many players we drop). I will use this to draft for any absent owners, by picking their top available pick. If you do not get me a list, I will pick the top ranked person regardless of age, and I will draft a hitter in the odd rounds and a pitcher in the even rounds for all people who donâ??t submit a list to me. After we go through 2 rounds, we will go and claim our players off the waiver wire, then do the next 2 rounds and go and claim our players off the waiver wire, this will continue through all the rounds we draft. This way you can see what players are available.

Tanking:
In order to prevent tanking the person with the most wins in the regular season will get a free custom league team for 10 months, and the person with 2nd most wins will get a free dynasty league season. This will require everyone adding in an extra $4.13 to their entry free, so this league will cost $59.13 dollars. Four dollars and change extra wonâ??t break the bank, and it will also add to the competitiveness of the league, and try to limit the tanking.

Minor Leagues:
You may have no more than 20 minor leaguers on your minor league roster. This allows more talent on the waiver wire, and also not many people have more than 20 anyways because anything over 15 lowers improvement chances. You will need to have your minor league roster down to 20 by the 10th game of the season.

Violation of Rules:
You get one 2 warnings for the 10 months, after the 2 warnings, subsequent violation will result in a 10 game suspension(benching) of your best hitter(determined by player ranking page). 10 games is the penalty for your 3rd violation, each violation after the 3rd increases the suspension by 10 games(your 4th violation=20 game suspension, 5th violation=30 games, 6th violation=40 games, etc.) Also if you violate the waiver wire rules or trading during the playoff rules or regular season, you will be forced to undo the transaction and will not be allowed to acquire the player(s) for 1 full season and you will suffer the corresponding punishment.
