With 59 games to go, the Storm just got back our 1B Erik Beaumont from a 47-day injury. We will also very shortly be getting our 3B Richard Yates back from a 30-day injury. Being 3 games out of the playoffs, I feel like getting back these two big bats will help us push for the playoffs. We still definitely have to overcome a lot as the Wiseguys don't appear to be backing down and are quite formidable in their own right.
Should be a good, close, race to the finish.

A view of the NL Wild Card Race:
STL 596 runs scored, 365 runs allowed, 231 net runs
CHN 488 runs scored, 394 runs allowed, 94 net runs
CIN 554 runs scored, 498 runs allowed, 56 net runs
A couple of big bats coming back for CIN could narrow the gap in net runs. In general, net runs correlates to wins. But there is a bit of a bias toward pitching (in real baseball and in simd).
It's a fine race and I hope that STL stays in it too.

I have been off line for the better part of four days. I should just stay away... my team's doing good. Cincy always strikes fear, though...

After a sweep by Chicago, our chances aren't looking as good. 5 games out now.
