Today's feelgood story, but not like anyone is really watching, what with the NBA finals and other stuff.June 08, 2009 at 02:24PM View BBCode
And Ole Miss has died in the super-regionals for the 4th time in 5 years. 3 of those times, they took 1-0 leads to lose games 2 and 3, while hosting.June 08, 2009 at 06:50PM View BBCode
I used to try to catch the Ole/Southern Miss games when the Rebs would trip down to Hattiesburg. You guys never seemed to have a problem kickin our ass. What gives?June 09, 2009 at 02:12PM View BBCode
That doesn't mean they ignore baseball. Florida, LSU, Auburn and Ole Miss (who between the 50s and only very recently had a very large void in their part of the football contributions to the conference) have had consistently good baseball programs. I don't know much about the entire conference in respect to baseball, but I find these four most often finding their way into national attention on a fairly regular basis when that time comes around every year.June 09, 2009 at 10:37PM View BBCode

I knew it had been a while. And I don't really count the Eli years because, well, they may have cracked the top 25 maybe a couple weeks in his four years. And maybe... went to some obscure bowl game no one remembers.June 09, 2009 at 11:58PM View BBCode

Ole Miss championships extended into the 60's . . . not much better but FWIW.
