As the Cincinnati Cutthroats, we came in 5th place in 1950, 6th place in '51, and somehow attained 2nd place and a run at the playoffs in '52.
The Cutthroats fielded some decent players, including:

As a rundown of the 1952 final season playoffs, the second place Cutthroats outbattled the division winning Milwaukee Brenton3313 team in a 4-3 series victory.
With regards to the American League, the New York Bundies entered their second straight World Series by fending off the division rival Detroit Red Sox of Boston, 4 games to 1.
The 1952 World Series began at the Bundies homefield. The Cutthroats were fortunate to take both of the first two games, their first ever World Series appearances. However, returning to the Cutthroat stadium did not advance the goals of the Cincinnati team. It collapsed, dropping each of the next four games in the series. For the second straight season, the mighty NY Bundies won the World Series!
For all the rest of the cast and crew of the Cincinnati Cutthroats, including those players who were able to switch positions to fill really huge holes in the defense, along with all the really struggling players who kept trying and finally succeeded in sending the teams to the playoffs.

As the league comes to a close of its third year cycle, from my perspective, it has been a fun ride. We've had 12 consistent owners (a good ratio compared to other trial leagues I hear) that fought each year to compete.
