Starting a merged league from defunct leagues

June 29, 2009 at 07:34PM View BBCode

I'm trying to gauge interest in starting a merged league consisting of teams from previously defunct leagues. The way it would work is that your team would come into the league with it's players intact, but with stats starting over from scratch.

If you are interested in such a league, please fill out this quick survey:

I would be interested in resurrecting my MVL team, the Texas Rangers. I prefer 12 games per day and up.

I don't like system 3 minors - it seems to take forever to rebuild. I don't know why. But I'd play it.

I don't like the injury system where they get hurt every day. Is there one where no one ever gets hurt? The Goldilocks injury system?

Milwaukee Braves from the defunct MVL..

Anything over 12 gpd is great..

System 2 injury but will be fleible.. And I believe system 2 minors or whatever minors that actually use CP's is great.. This CP thing is very important to my decision, no CP's no go..

And that new variable system would be extra cooling...

Other than that, would enjoy a new merged league with fellow simmates..

I am interested in resurrecting my team - the less games per day, the better, but I am interested either way

I have a CML team that i'd be interested in porting over... I'd sign up for anything if the right GMs are in the league.

I would be interested in bringing over the Boston Supremacy of the WWL or the NY Giants of the FJL.

I would be fine with anything 6f games per day and up.

I wouldn't want to see variable development.

I'd like an injury system thats middle of the road...system two I guess?

I would like to see numbers rather than letters if possible.

Is it possible to get a day in between draft day and the beginning of the season...to facilitate more offseason trading?

And id like system 3 minor league improvements. can be flexible, but still. its a good system.

HRBL Houston Unemployed
15 or 18 gpd
I don't care what league rules are used, although my preference is System 4 injuries and no CP trading.

That said, I hope the opposite is chosen because I really can't afford another team until I get some permanent work :)

To answer sharbrough's question, no, there isn't. I did make a Suggest Enhancements thread about a so-called System 0 injury level, in which players would never get hurt, however.

I'd like to bring back my WWL team, the NY metropolitans.

I have no patience so it has to be 12gpd or more.

I'm basically indifferent as to rules. I enjoy them all so far.

I'd bring back my Philadelphia Phillies of the defunct Mo Vaughn League. I'd like 12 games a day or no more than 15. I don't want that crazy ass injury system where everyone is hurt every other day. The normal system would be fine. I like the regular CP system ... 20 cps ... but would be flexibile.

the Cinncinnati Reds from the defunct MVL will play. no system 3, no way, no how (and not those silly injuries either). gpd not really important, perhaps nine at a minimum.

I'd be interested in bringing over either the NY Yankees from the MVL or the NY Technopolitans from the HRBL. My preference is for 12 or 15 gpd, and I'd like to try a variable development league.

I am also in the Albert Belle League. I am also waiting to see if the league continues, but if not I would like to continue playing with the Philly Freedom in a merge league.

Albert Bell League now is offically dead. I am ready to join this league when it is created.

I'd be interested in bringing back my Kansas City Bandits from the Pedro Martinez League. I'd prefer 12 games a day.

I'm feeling optimistic that we'll get this thing off the ground.

Now that the ABL is folding I'd rather bring over my StL RiverRats then the WWL team I mentioned earlier.

Hope we can get this going, I'm interested to see how it plays out as far as talent level and such.

If the JML folds, I would be interested. Its looking a bit grimm over there.

I am the owner of the Washington Rangers in the Pete Vuckovitch League and I would be interested in any Merged League no matter the number of games or rules.

I was on the initial List and would bring back the MVL St.Louis Team.

I am only interested if we incorporate the new items

Level 3 IC's
Level 4 Injuries
Rule V (possible compromise there)
Variable Development

I have no interest in a "Vanilla" ladder League. If I wanted that I would try to get in the OCL

The ladder league is a separate issue. That is not what is being proposed here.
