I need a good RF and LF. I seem to have several good CF. I am comfortable with my other position players for now. I need to take a day or so to look at my pitchers. I will shoot out trades at that point.

But putting a RF or LF in your CF position is a common transition and rarely shows any drop in player ability.

I see. From reading the instructions they lead you to believe that this will hurt your RF production. Well in that case I need to re-evaluate my team. I might have time tonight.

switching OF'ers is not a problem, but I would not suggest putting anybody at catcher, except a catcher. 3rd base is also hard to learn, but not too difficult. It should only take about 25-30 games for your LF or RF to get up to a B in fielding for CF. On the other hand it could take years for a non-catcher to get to a C

Thanks for the info Roswell. :D Hopefully I can learn this game on the fly quickly. As the season moves along I will get more familiar and comfortable with my team and how the game works. And hopefully it will be fun enough to warrent a career mode game.
