Should be options limit on minors

I think a player should be released if he is sent to the minors more than 3 times in a season. I know people like to "bullpen shuffle" or whatever you want to call it but that is totaly unrealistic. In my league one guy has a 17 year old closer who has A+ velocity and was a 2nd round pick. He is a great closer. When he gets tired he just sends him to the minors for 2 games. Give him 5 coach points... and by the end of the season he is awesome as he gets coach point improvements plus minimum games pitched and innings for player improvement in the majors. I would do the same. And the whole time I'd be thinking how silly it was.Doug

I think because there is no bench/rest option for pitchers, I will always send a superb pitcher to the minor (for improvement or no improvement) to rest up for the next big game...this is the only way I can fix my line-up so that the next time I face my arch-rival, I can be sure the starting pitchers are as strong as they can be.
