Start of Season Schedule

March 31, 2004 at 02:28AM View BBCode

For some reason, the schedule for the first week of baseball this season is bothering me. What do you think?

I think season openers shouldn't be aired at 2 am pst. It was a great game and I have no regrets about watching it but that was 3 hours of sleep I lost

I agree. It just bugs me that they start the season in Japan. Remember: it's called America's national pastime.

I don't think you're supposed to put a lot after "I agree."

He should! I think he's the one who is sort of crazy when it comes to this board! But, who am I to judge. I just as crazy.

Actually, Japan is the second most baseball oriented country. (next to the US of course)

Either Japan or the DR or Puerto Rico.

I think that Japan has passed America in any measure of baseball obsession.
We are football land now... the NFL takes over this country, like baseball used to once...

Football should be an olympic sport!

The NFL is what made me a sports fan, if football wasn't around I wouldn't
be following any sports I bet.

So thanks for inventing that happy!

Suggestion, how about as a new trend, everyone put in their signatures
a list of all their illustrious inventions?
That would be hilarious...

I can't wait to see whether Clarett and Williams are allowed in the draft this month! Did you know there were high schoolers declaring themselves eligible too?!
sycophantman

April 02, 2004 at 11:38PM View BBCode

They won't get drafted though, the economic system in the NFL makes high schooler next to useless.
By the time they are old enough to actually help, they're free agents.
No team will draft them...

I think those kids are just dumb! They are not even close to strong enough to compete. I honestly think that maybe a college athlete should be allowed to come out after 2 years instead of 3. I think that will make everyone's life easier.

I think there is a simple way to fix the problem, you just add this to the rules of football "if anyone signs a football player who has not been out of college for 3 years, he must pay a 10 million luxary tax, and take a 20 million dollar cap penalty" that will fix the problem.

I wonder if high school football players jumping to the NFL can get insurance, probably not...

actually it might, because the other players probably dont want those players in anyway.
