What's it about? Sounds like field of dreams; Kinsella, Iowa, kind of similar to the movie.

Among other things, it is about a man with an obsession for a baseball league (the Iowa Baseball Confederacy) that no one else claims existed, and the story of an exhibition game between the Iowa Baseball Confederacy All-Stars and the '08 Cubs that lasts 2,000 innings. Magnificent writing, very funny, very magical, with deep characters. Honestly, it's one of those books that I read and thought, "Wow, I wish I'd written that."
