Rex Ryan's official statement on the trip

From Rex Ryan's press conference:
Son, we play in a game with sidelines and someone has to protect those sidelines. Who's gonna do it? You, Mr. Anderson? You, Mr. Goodell? You weep for the Dolphins and you curse the Jet. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Nolan Carroll being tripped, while tragic, probably saved points, and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves points. You don't want the truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about on chatboards, you want me on that sideline, you need me on that sideline.
We use words like trip, cheat, whine. We use these words as the backbone of a season spent pimping something. You use them as a byline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to fans that would claim to want to be entertained, and then question the manner in which I entertain them. I would much rather they just said "thank you" and went on their way. Otherwise I suggest that they get on a bus and move to Buffalo. Either way, I don't give a dam.n about what they thought of that play.
Q: Did you order the sideline trip?
I did what I had to do.
Q: Did you order the sideline trip???
