why this pitcher sucks and always gets outpitched by B+ or A- pitchers who have B+ or B control...

i expected an A+ overall pitcher to be dominant, i guess not. maybe he'd be a better fit in long relief B so he doesnt kill me

I can't explain it. Stuff like that really bothers me. I have had very similar experiences, but not as extreme. Sometimes I wonder about this game???

Check this out. This is not as bad as your situation, but still bothers me. My ss is B+ A+, (contact, power) and has been for several years

Look at this year so far and last year, terrible....

On the one hand, B+/A+ can be 75/100 or it can be 68/92.
On the other hand, I have a hunch that there's an algorithm we don't know about, that assigns a player to have a good or bad run for a while. So for example it determines "Pete Alexander will be at minus 3 for the next 9 weeks. He's just in a slump."
I don't deny I've got a pretty good team right now, but there's no accounting for the first part of last season, which the Tempers opened 85-18. They're not THAT good- everyone was just in a groove.
Looking them over, I think Pete Alexander is better than his past half-season and will give better performance in the future. I think Floyd Walberg is probably only just B+/A+ and 1957-1958 was the best he could do.

I'm having a few issues with Abe. I bat my starting catcher in the bottom of the order because I have to rely on Abe for substitutions most games. The last five times the starting catcher took the day off he moved the substitute, hitting a robust .192 and with blazing C+ speed to the lead off spot.

Make that six times in a row. He went 0 for 6, now hitting .156.

You are viewing the raw post code; this allows you to copy a message with BBCode formatting intact.
Under manager preferences, under substitutions, the fourth subject is "Starting Lineup Changes", select "Adjust lineup so subs start at the end of the lineup".
Not that I'm promising it will work.

I'll go change it and hope for the best. It's odd, though, that Abe started putting him at lead off toward the end of last season after all these years of putting him wherever the catcher used to bat....

Of course, he'll hit .460 batting ninth.
