First start in the NL and he shuts down my sad-sack team by throwing a perfect game.January 17, 2011 at 09:01PM View BBCode
Glad he finally got a no-no. He danced around it a number of times for Cleveland.January 17, 2011 at 09:25PM View BBCode
I would have way rather he'd done it in the American League...January 17, 2011 at 10:33PM View BBCode
Well he did rather well over here. On a nice note for Cleveland, in game #2 of the season Warren Oates in his major league debut pitched a 6 hit/1BB/7K complete game shutout.January 17, 2011 at 11:06PM View BBCode
He sure did. And, at 33, with 224 wins, he still has a decent shot at 300.January 18, 2011 at 04:01AM View formatted

Wow. Oates had a no-no going into the bottom of the 9th in a 1-0 game against a powerful NY squad. Got the first out then the no hitter was broken up with a single. The runner was thrown out attempting to steal 2nd for out number two. Next batter hit a dinger to break up the shutout. After giving up a double to the next batter he was pulled. Ended up with no decision in a 2-1 loss in 10.Pages: 1
