Possible Additions to Improvement System

I am not entirely sure if something along these lines has been suggested and it's also entirely possible that this idea may not appeal to the masses.

I was thinking that it would be interesting to try a system that is similar to the current Batter Improvement System 3 with one small exception. If a player has a truly fluky year, where maybe they hit for a much higher average than would normally be expected of them, they would receive a bonus to their IC conversion percentage for that off-season. I feel that this would make the game feel slightly more realistic, as a player would possibly have everything click for them one season and see their performance drastically improve after their "breakout season." For the purpose of trying to be consistent amongst teams and to not favor high powered offenses, I figure that the IC conversion percentage bonus could be triggered by an unusually Slugging, or OBP for that particular season, with an IC bonus in contact ratings for OBP and power ratings for Slugging. In the case of pitchers, the same could hold true for seasons with unusually good ERA (although ERA obviously isn't perfect as a statistic, maybe WHIP?).

I suppose that this idea might only be feasible if the game is coded in a way that for every numeric value of contact or power that there is an expected value for OBP or Slugging percentage. If this were the case, you could make the "breakout season" IC conversion bonus cutoff at something like one or one and a half standard deviations above the mean. Or if you wanted to be truly evil, you could do the opposite a hitter/pitcher had a very bad year.

I imagine that this might be difficult to implement, and that with things like speed and contact applying to slugging percentage in some ways it might be impossible, but what do you think?
