Troy Glaus - what do you do with him?

May 20, 2004 at 02:42PM View BBCode

I have Troy Glaus on my fantasy team. Its saying he could be back in August or September, but may miss the entire season. Anybody from Orange county that knows more about the injury - let me know.

What would you guys do with him? I have Melvin Mora to play 3B - so I'm really not in a pinch to free up the roster spot. Would you waive him or hang onto him?

If you have room hang on to him until more details are released on him. Every fantasy league I've seen he has been waived though since chances are he'll miss the entire season. But since the Angels seem to be competing this year don't be surprised to see him return near the end for the playoff run.

I waived him, I also have Mora. I read where Angels GM said its possible he may not be back this year.

I myself dont see him coming back. Same injury as last year. If I was Angels management I would forget him this year as to let it rehab completely. Or if he comes back DH him is all. Just my opinion.

Not sure what kind of league your in and what scores for you, but I picked up Carlos Guillen (Det) hitting .317 with 18 BB and 24 RBI's .393 OBP. Good glove too, should save on errors if those count. Not a power guy 3 HR but he's is a consistent everyday player. (Of course I am from Detroit so could be considered bias.)

I have him on my fantasy team too. I doubt he will come back but one thing to remember, this is a contract season for him so he has some extra insentive to try and play, so that he can show everyone he is worth a big contract (I am pretty sure the Angels will let him go, they have a great 3B prospect in AA).

I also have Mora, but I am going to hang on to him on my DL spot. If you have a DL reserve, you should keep him there.

Unfortunately we don't have a DL - so I can either keep him or let him go.

I may just wait until there is somebody of value that I want to pick up. My team jumped into first place the other day when I had both Jason Schmidt and Matt Clement pitching against one another.
