Drastic measures

i really like how i have my team set up, but am getting impatient as far as actually winning. i have offered many deals to many teams based on what i could handle giving up, and how they seemed to be valueing players. right now in this league we have a some very good teams, and some teams that still look good, but are obviously in decline when you look at there roster, and than we have teams that have been stuck in mediocrity for a long time. i have what will probably be the top pick and alot of young pitching as well as some nice offensive prospects.
here is what i am proposing. im not interested in gutting my youth for 32 yr olds, but if your team isnt going anywhere, but you have two or 3 star players that are keeping you from actually getting good enough draft picks to get better i would move alot of youth for a chance to jump on the change in power i see in at least the nl right now. if you are uncertain with how to set up your team to develop the youth i will be glad to give advice to inexperienced owners. im looking for stars that push me over the top this could be a unique oportunity for some of the midling teams to make the moves they need to make now to unseat who i hope is me in a 4 or 5 seasons. like i said i have shot plenty of offers out there, and am always willing to do so. i am not doing this to hit the easy button on building a team. i hope to generate some exciting offers, and maybe a bit of buzz in this season. i see 3 pretty good teams in the al, and my team and a few nl teams all are a bit weaker right now than those teams. i want to make a jump to rate better than those al teams. id love another ace or two, and some big time hitters. if you have only one or two big pieces your not going any where any way. i have young pieces that are already good, and or very developable.

It takes two to tango. If you want to add an ace you have to be willing to give up top young talent. I'm more than willing to part with Burnett at this point but when the best player in the offers you're sending is a 17 year old that will requrie 5 years of CPs and will be lucky to get past B- contact it's just not going to get it done.
You can say you want to make a drastic change, but you've got to put quality talent and those top picks out there, not a smorgas board of slop.

burnett isnt a game changer...

i got similar talent for one top prospect. ill admit i would have liked burnett more than the rp i got, but i got a catcher who can help me continue to contend and admittedly not as good as the guy you have. you wanted the the first overall this year the first overall last year, and a decent catching prospect for to guys over 30 who are both very good, and the catcher is very good. burnett would be my number 2 this year, and munch or barfield would have been as good or better next.
ive got the first overall pick, and some very good young pitchers for a legit ace and or a star offensive player available if your under 500 and were around 500 last year, and your best players are in the second half of their 20s i could help you part with those players, and give you a shot at actually playing for something in the next few years. its a no brainer if you fall into these sort of categories. id love a superstar secondbaseman, thirdbaseman 1st baseman of. and or a great sp. nothing is off the table for the right player.
