Hey Cubs Fans? Gary Scott?

Anyone know why he sang Take me out to the ballgame today? Hardly a star for the Cubs - wondered why they got him for this. Who's next? Jerome Walton? Karl Pagel? Ty Griffin?

I have no clue who Gary Scott is. Was he a mediocre player?

Haha! My best friend's dad is named Gary Scott. I got a baseball card of him and tricked my brother into thinking that it was my friend's dad.

Tyson... were you at the game today? Or did you just watch it on TV??
I know you've talked about going to the home opener before, so I figure you must go sometimes...
I was at the game today, and no explanation was offered as to why Scott sang the national anthem.... Of course, you really wouldn't expect that at the game. I have bad memories of Scott, because he was another in the line of can't miss prospects at the hot corner, but he never made it. Why he'd be celebrated at a game some 13 years later is anyone's guess. he must be a guy the team likes or something.
Weird cuz Bears draftee Tommie Harris threw out the first pitch, so you'd think he's stick around to sing... I've seen Derrick Brooks sing the national anthem there before, but who knows why....

I saw Vance Law sing once, but at least he was OK on a memorable team. I loved Walton in '89, I wouldn't mind seeing him. Maybe we'll get to see Les Lancaster, Jeff Pico, Mike Bielecki, Domingo Ramos, Ced Landrum, Pat Perry, or Lance Dickson sing some day... Come to thing of it, I saw Mike Harkey sing there once. who knows???!!!
