Dynasty Vision

I enjoy the Dynasty Vision part of the game very much. It's just very difficult to know when a play is over especailly with runners scoring and runners advancing.
Player A hits a homerun
Player B Scores
(not a problem as we know how many players are on base and will score)
Player A singles.
Player B doubles past the first baseman.
(Problem! does the next play say player A scores or does it just continue on with the game?)
Is not a monster issue but it does take some enjoyment out not know if the play is done or not
I do like, Player A flys out to center field Player B Tags up....
Now you know there going to be another play in the same play and not anticapiting another play and it says Player C strikes out.

BOOM!!!! i suggested this a long time ago and i think it's one thing that absolutely needs to happen. I'm always very frustrated by this as well.
Unfortunately, most people hate this idea for some reason (My guess is it's because they never use Dynasty Vision, so they reflexively resist any suggestion that involves using admin time to improve it), although Tyson likes it a lot.
But anyway, it's here on idea scale, currently at a fat -2:

I disagree. I prefer it the way it is. When you see a double in real life, do you instantly know if the runner from 3rd scores? I think the anticipation makes things more exciting.

Yes you don't know right away but even adding an additional line Runners do not advance by itself tells you the play is over.
Player A singles
Player B doubles
Player A held at third
Player C Strikes Out
GOOD!!!!!
Player A singles
Player B doubles
Player A Scores
Player C Strikes Out
GOOD!!!!!
Player A singles
Player B doubles
Player C Strikes Out
BAD!!!!!!!
It doesn't need to all be in one line it can keep anticipation like examples 1 and 2.

i can't for the life of me imagine a scenario where a runner on third would not score on a double. do you mean a runner on first?

i don't think i've ever watched a game, or even part of one, on dynasty vision. so it's obvioulsy not a real high priority for improvement for me personally. having said that, if it is a feature that a large number of owners on the site use extensively, and it seems like it might be, i don't see any reason not to make this change unless it's way more difficult than i imagine it would be. a simple "held at third" would seem to be a good solution, if i understand the issue properly.

I only use it in the playoffs. But, yes, this would be a good little addition.

I believe your idea needs to be updated I see its up to a 0 now from -2 but I would prefer they maintain the suspense
and add a new line instead of keeping it on one line and yes
Dirtdevil you understand the idea. I find it hard not to watch dynasty vision myself I love the feel of the game.

yeah maybe...i think i wrote it up that way because people at the time were saying they didn't want any extra lines in the dynasty vision text, for some reason, so i tried to show it in a way that no extra lines would be needed. I would be incredibly happy if the desired effect was achieved in any way. Just want to know if a play is over or not.
This is the worst:
James Clues strikes out.
John Blues strikes out.
Tim Jones singles.
Joe Clowns singles.
At this point, if my team is on offense, I'm thinking "hey tim jones, get your butt to third!" And as I'm hoping for that to happen and waiting to see "Tim Jones advances to third" I instead get
Phil Baloney hits into a 4-6-3 double play.
The play was over and I had no idea. While imagining my third base coach waving Jones to third, my next batter was busy ending the inning with a double play.
anyway there's not much point in updating the idea, it's already had so many "no" votes...you should write up a new one.

Thats pretty impressive since they play you insinuated there was already 2 outs and he hit into a double play for the 4th out.
Other than that I completely agree and feel strongly the same way about it. I like watching the games and having it play out in my head and I've been around simD a long time.

When I'm watching Dynasty Vision, some times it feels like my opponent is getting four outs per inning. :-)
But I couldn't agree more with this suggestion, for all the reasons already explained. I guess I need to go vote for it~
