... is how a player can play C predominately throughout his career... including this year... and suddenly be incapable of playing. Dickey has started roughly 200 more games at C than at any other position, and this year roughly 75% of his time has been at catcher... but no more! he doesn't remember how to play!

that is goofy. and theres no way for you to train him to catch without putting him on waivers to the minors.
its crap.

i totally agree i have a player like that too. Rusty Crack he was a catcher when i drafted him, played catcher for a long time but i had more than 2 catchers on my team and he has an A+ arm so i used him as a CF. he no longer even shows as ever being a catcher!?!?
i was going to train him again a few seasons back but like brady said it wouldnt let me. since you have to have 2 catchers and no one else is suppose to play that position i think it sucks. come on how can you forget how to play the position???
plus i think once a player has an A+ rating on a position i think he should never lose that position,
% go down? yes
but never lose the know how to play it.

Never understand why people play catchers out of position if they want them to be a catcher. Why take the chance? For a couple more games played per season?
