The really funny thing is that he struck out 20 and injured him self in the process! LOL.

What a great performance!

He threw a no-hitter vs the same team the start before!!!

that is amazing!

but it does seem like big-strikeout performances have ramped up since the new changes were implemented. The leagues I'm in total 9 games a day, and just today there was a 14-strikeout game against me, and one of my guys K'd 11 in another. One of my relievers has 22 Ks through 13 IP so far.

Pick-offs seem to have increased also. Used to be what seemed like 2 a season, now it's happening every day.

back to back games today, had a SP with A- velocity strike out 13 in 7.2 innings (now has 46 in 36 IP) and then a SP with B- velocity strike out 12 in 8 innings.

Something's definitely changed.

OK, so it's not just me. I'm in the middle of a WS that just feels like a K-fest today. So far 99 Ks in 89 innings. Against really good lineups.

Have they implemented the new pitcher/batter matchups? That could account for it, as speed will be less important and perhaps low contact hitters will strike out more? Plus the outcome will now be more often decided by the hitter, so a power hitter w/ low contact may strike out more vs. low contact/high control type pitchers.

Allegedly they have not implemented the new batter/pitcher engine yet.
