Post Season Pitching

I think there should be a feature added for pictching your ACE on short rest in the playoffs. Usually in the current system your ACE will get two starts per series. I would love to see the ACE get a 3rd, even if it's only 3-4 innings at the start of the game, this will really make playoff games more realistic as many MLB teams do this to further themselves into the playoffs.

You can generally get him into a game 7 if you need him, just rearrange your bullpen so that he isn't listed as a SP. :)

true. But I'd like to point out that I hope we can keep up this trend of posting an enhancement with an accompanying ideascale link to it! cuz otherwise its pointless

I agree with something like that, and maybe have veterans get a slight bonus in the playoffs. Rarely do the young gun Josh Becketts (2003 Marlins) out-duel the veteran Roger Clemens (although he is a sell-out). A veteran pitcher usually is counted on more in the playoffs even though he may have less skills than the new young arm in the rotation.

edit: Actually the same kinda goes for hitters too...

I would probably support this, only because it's realistic. I actually hate how the playoffs work in real life, with all of the offdays allowing for the need of only 3 SPs and a couple bullpen guys. It's the exact opposite of all the depth you need during the regular season. But I can't complain about incorporating that into the sim even more, since it does exist in MLB.
