Adams was a 7 time all-star and the 2007 NL CYA winner. He had 5 seasons with 20 or more wins, and 11 seasons with 200+ strikeouts, 4 of which he had 240 or more! All those strikeouts (3,228 of them), place him 3rd all-time behind only Mahler & McGrew. His 265 wins rank 15th all-time in league history as well.

Rakow racked up 233 career wins, 2736 strikeouts, a career ERA of 3.25, a WHIP of 1.18, while amassing 116 CG's and 35 shutouts. While none of these numbers jump out at you, all of these numbers are better than many current HoFers have. He has a better carer WHIP than 11 current HOF starting pitchers including: Lowdermilk, MacFarlane, McGrew and Kelso! Wayne's ERA is better than 15 HOF starters! His all-time rankings are as follows:

35 Shutouts (15th)
3.25 ERA (24th)
1.18 WHIP (32nd)
233 Wins (33rd)

A 5 tool player, Anson could hit for average, power, run, and field with the best of them. He would've won multiple GG's at 1B and CF if he had played after they were introduced. He collected 3131 hits (10th all-time), 1741 runs (16th all-time), 1653 RBI (23rd all-time), 520 SB's 22nd all-time), 1021 extra base hits, including 133 triples (17th all-time) and 533 doubles (11th all-time). Anson was a major factor in Kansas City winning 2 World Championships in the '70's.

Hovlik ranks 10th all-time in saves with 491, converting 89% for his career. The 1989 AL ROY, Jack was an all-star 11 years in a row, while winning 4 FMA's during that stretch. He was absolutely dominating in those years! His career 2.99 ERA speaks to his remarkable talent and would be the best among any HOF relievers if elected.

Al Douglas (4 votes) and Johnnie Johnson (2 votes) fell short of the minimum 7 votes that are required.
