This goes under the "Just Sayin'" category, so take it with a grain of salt, or shaken or stirred: I am surprised my fellow owners have not given Jack Lobert more love, he has 3 Cy Youngs, he is #8 alltime in the VPL for wins, and the 264 wins he has are more than 4 of the 9 starting pitchers already in the HOF. He ranks #4 in innings pitched, #5 in strikeouts with 3,179, and #2 in games started. I am no expert, nor did I stay in a Holliday Inn Express last night, but those numbers on the resume sure look like HOF type numbers to me, I am "Just Sayin'" :D:D:DJune 12, 2013 at 02:58AM View BBCode
Goolsby, Lobert (THERE YA GO BEANBALLS :) ), Scott, Seidel, and Vick (the first player from my Bears to possibly make the Hall, even though I only had him for one season!).June 12, 2013 at 04:17PM View BBCode
:lol::lol: Was not trying to campaign for Lobert, but I guess I am, I like the discussion for the canidates, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, feel free to express it here during the voting. Lobert was a guy that never played for me (but I sure wish he did), but I sure like his credetials, even with the amount of losses he had and relatively high ERA...June 12, 2013 at 04:42PM View BBCode
I am sorry, but he is number 2 in BB given up, to go with his high era and losses. Also, over his 17 year career, he has a .422 winning %. He did dominate in 7 year stretch, which he won 3 CY Youngs. But he is borderline to me.June 12, 2013 at 04:52PM View BBCode
Hera, I think you have his win % backwards, he won 264 and lost 215, for a win percentage of .551%. He did walk alot, but he never led the league in that category, and if you look at the 3,000 K's alone, in real life that is a magic number for HOF. Take a look here at the 3,000 club, but it is Wiki so it has to be true:June 12, 2013 at 09:52PM View BBCode
I havent taken a good look at the candidates yet, but I thought I would toss my 2 cents in...June 13, 2013 at 01:54PM View BBCode
