Draft Picks

February 10, 2014 at 11:46PM View BBCode

I'm looking to trade all my picks from round 3-5 from this season for picks in the same round next year. Any interest please message me or send a trade.

All my AL picks 2 2nds, 3rd, 4th, 5th are all on the block. Looking for future picks.

No offense, but I will be shocked if anyone acquires a 3-5th round pick for any reason.

It's rare to see 4 and 5th rounders traded. Low 3rd round picks have value in some drafts.

My starting catcher was a mid to late 3rd round pick. If you have the CP's they can work out!

@ Joey. I get that a 3rd could be useful, but the only instances of trading a 4th or 5th with Pitt involved are listed below. It's hard to say they had any impact.

My bad on the 3rd comment. It's just that you have a playoff 3rd and I would never deal for one myself.

Yours, Ezra

What you fail to realize is that i also have picks that are not mine and not from playoff teams. 4th and 5th's are useless. I choose to trade mine back a year. Maybe one day ill have all the 4th and 5th round picks to bundle and trade up. Who knows what im going to do. Im just letting everyone know they are for trade. Ill trade anything thing for the right price.

Sometimes you can get lucky with a 4th rounder. In another league I gave up what may be a playoff 2nd pick to acquire a player drafted in the 4th round (49th overall!) and he has done well thus far: http://www.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?player=nobody&mode=stats&id=10624205

I have also seen backup catchers who were drafted in the 4th round (or picked up off of waivers) be developed and traded later for a 2nd round pick.

If two experienced GMs agree on a trade, then it does not really matter what the other 14 GMs believe it is worth.

Oh come on dudes. I am having a fun little debate here. To each their own.

Oh I know. Gives me something to do while the season comes to an end.

Good point Bonnie - maybe if I can make up these 2 games and slip into the wildcard spot today the team will loosen up a bit.

I used basic tactics all season, and it always nets a better record than the pyth%. It's very odd.
