My Mom passed away three years ago, and before she died she told my Dad that she wanted him to take all the trips they wouldn't be able to take together.
So for the last three years my father - who will be 82 this summer - has been paying for us to go places. A bunch of them. This afternoon I leave for our latest and greatest adventure: a trip to Ireland.
I will not be back in the States until Easter night and not back home until some time on Tuesday, April 22. Not knowing what the WiFi situation will be in Ireland, there's a good chance I won't be checking in often, and a VERY good chance there will be no Hall of Fame (again this year), and the Draft Breakdown I started won't get finished, dang it. The Season might still be going on when I return to the point I can maybe tackle a "Where Are They Now?" post. We'll see.

Home now (Ireland was *great* - lots of pix on my Facebook Page [url=http://www.facebook.com/MarksMusings]here[/url], but I see my Diamonds are still stuck in the nether regions of the standings. Fortunately it appears nobody in the AL *really* wants to win, so at this late date we still have a smattering of a chance.

B.) I was very nervous about reading this the first time because although "off with dad" sounds like a proclamation, I wasn't sure if it was a "we are going on a trip together" or "time for him to go the way of Old Yeller" time of announcement. Glad to see it was the former and not the latter.
