strategy copy error

May 01, 2014 at 01:57AM View BBCode

I don't know if this is a known issue or not but when I copied my green zone offence into yellow, red, green 2 and red 2 only the first four columns and the 'regular' down and distance rows copied successfully. one of the new expansion rows and columns copied.

This is something I swear I have fixed more than once.. I am looking at it.

Hmm, I am not seeing this:

- I added 5th and 6th strategies to my Green Zone settings and saved them to a new name
- I copied the saved settings to the Red Zone
- I went to my red zone page and loaded the copied strategy. All columns were copied.

not mine. I had to redo everything last night. even more, the last two columns don't seem to be working at all. all my running plays are in those two columns and so far I've had 0 carries this week.

and only 6 carries total through 2 games and 1 quarter in the preseason. I should be running about 40% of the time with the offence I've got in.

yeah, either I'm doing something completely wrong, or something is wrong with the plan 5 and plan 6 columns. still no rushes through 3Q. and all of my non-goaline rushing should come from those two columns.

Thank you.. I found a subtle bug that was keeping the 5th and 6th column from working (it worked for advanced rules but not regular rules).

I'm still looking into copying rules.

You are viewing the raw post code; this allows you to copy a message with BBCode formatting intact.
I am still unable to copy strategies properly. the first four columns copy correctly but the 5th and 6th do not.

I still can't duplicate this, it must only fail in certain situations. Still trying.

Here is what I just did:

- In my Green Zone strategy I saved a strategy to every cell in the table and saved it.
- My strategy was now "Custom unsaved strategy". I saved the strategy as a named strategy called "Test to copy".
- I went to Manage Strategies and selected Test to Copy from the Green Zone to copy to the Yellow Zone.
- I went to my Yellow Zone Strategies. They are still set to Default.
- In the Yellow Zone I select "Test to copy" and load it. My 5th and 6th columns come over.

Now, if I had done this:

- Fill the first four columns and save it as "New Test To Copy"
- Copy this strategy to the Yellow Zone
- Go back to the Green Zone and fill in columns 5 and 6 and re-save as "New Test to Copy"
- Go to the Yellow Zone and load "New Test To Copy"

I will not have columns 5 and 6 because the two "New Test to Copy" strategies are separate from each other. I would need to copy it again after the changes were made.

I've been setting the new strategies from the drop downs on the basic strategies page after I copy. I wonder if that's having an impact for some reason?

That is possible, even likely, I will check it out. I knew I had to be missing something. Thanks!

That is exactly what it is... thank you for figuring it out!

This should be fixed.
