I've tried to quit so many times but have failed everytime. So I made it so I can't touch my money until August and am down to my last pack of cigarettes. I'm forcing myself to quit cold turkey, wish me luckJuly 14, 2004 at 01:59AM View formatted

well willpower has failed me before, which is why I've forced myself to quit. No matter how much I want one I just won't be able to afford them. It sucks having no money in my pocket but it will be worth it in the end when I'm not breathing heavy from just walking up the stairsJuly 14, 2004 at 03:15AM View BBCode
The 2nd and 3rd days were toughest for me, but it's worth it when you suddenly have more money. It's almost like getting a raise or a promotion.July 14, 2004 at 03:19AM View BBCode
Hey Jeff , di dyou decide if you wanted to become a ruler of a 17 th century european/middleeastern/african nation or not?July 14, 2004 at 03:41AM View BBCode
The third hour is the hardest for me. That's the farthest I've ever gotten...July 14, 2004 at 04:19AM View BBCode
Just like my mom, Duff. I cant imagine her going 1 hour without a cig.July 14, 2004 at 04:26AM View BBCode
I can go fine for about an hour or two...probably up to two and a half or three before I'm really ready to tear my hair out. I hate flying though because I have to plan my flights around cigarettes. Salt Lake City is a nice place to stop, because they have smoking rooms. So does Dulles. Minneapolis is a nightmare because you have to go outside and that requires walking about two miles and then going through security again. And I'll do it every time. I'm so pathetic.July 14, 2004 at 12:43PM View BBCode
I remember Minneapolis! I used to hate that place, worst airport ever, not just because of the smoking situation. It always seems to take forever to take off.July 14, 2004 at 12:52PM View BBCode

not for me, direct nicotine makes me sick. Besides, the hardest habit for me to break is the actually process of smoking. Sure lack of nicotine bothers me but it's much harder to stop moving my hand up and down while actually inhaling the smoke. It's hard to explain, but I just don't know what to do with my hands when I don't smoke. And fresh air burns like toxic gas :)July 14, 2004 at 04:00PM View BBCode
I know what you mean scammy, after I quit I would always catch myself with a pen in my mouthJuly 14, 2004 at 04:54PM View BBCode
oh it's horrible! I'm not even done with my last pack and I'm already trembling in fear at the thought of not having any. Why couldn't I be addicted to something healthier like porn or voodoo?July 14, 2004 at 05:01PM View BBCode
You'll be fine, just maintain!July 14, 2004 at 05:29PM View BBCode
oh great, I'm always bored! 24/7 I'm haunted by bordom...maybe that's why I smoke so much. Anyway, I'm down to my last 7...dooms day is upon us. Before of me, I may very well wake up a monster tomorrowJuly 14, 2004 at 05:31PM View BBCode

Personally, I have only been a social smoker. I know you can do it though because both my Dad (smoke for 20 years) and my Bro (not sure how many years) both quit cold turkey.July 14, 2004 at 06:42PM View BBCode
However, they both added a few extra pounds afterwards, but don't let that stop you.:lol:July 14, 2004 at 06:49PM View BBCode
yea well good luck scammy. you can do it! ok were all probably giving you false hope. its gonna be tough, but really fight it. good luck.July 14, 2004 at 07:22PM View BBCode
:lol:that probably works. just keep something in your mouth. like gum. i heard popcorn works well too...July 14, 2004 at 07:36PM View BBCode
I bought a whole crapload of gum, but I know it's just not the same. Hopefully it'll help, I'm smoking one now and have 2 left. oh boy...
