The monkey is finally off Cleveland's back.
I still wake up with sweats from the 1969 series, when we had a 7 run lead against St. Louis in game 7 when they came back and won.
Ace Pearl was just nasty in the WS...unhittable. Don't want to face him ever again.
I would have to give my #8 hitter, Bill Ritchie WS MVP. 2HR, 7RBI, .400 BA. But threw out two runners at home, which could have been the difference.
We hope to be in position again next season.
