Right now I am holding the draft. There are problems in some leagues with ranking draft preferences and I am watching the logs for problems. If everyone could rank and rerank your preferences a few times, that would help. Right now it's all apparently working perfectly here but failing in the real server. I may need to arrange a time for all Zeta owners to rank at the same time.Chris

How long would that take I don't mean to be impatient but I'm ready to experience this tough challenge of a league

I think that would be best. i'm almost positive it's the volume of people changing rankings at the same time. we can't replicate that in zeta without everyone onlne at the same time.

It would fit the pattern but it doesn't make sense from a code standpoint. I mean, 32 people hitting a website at once is not exactly high volume, and each person is changing their own settings. And I don't think all 32 people wait till the last minute to get their rankings in.
I suspect there is going to be something one particular person is doing that is unusual... like when we had one person claiming so many players before the draft that it would hang the draft up. If that is the case we may never see the problem in Beta.

Not sure if this is anything.... but I noticed something a few weeks ago. I was making changes and got distracted. I had moved players but not saved the changes. The draft ran before I refreshed the page and when the draft results came up the 6 guys who had moved had no ranking. All 6 were at the top of the board with their draft position but no ranking position. When the next draft came I could only see the first 5-6 players. I left the page and went back, it was still the same. Then I hit the Reset Draft Ranking to Default and all the players came up.

I don't know it's something any one person is doing. at least, I haven't noticed that the same guys are online trying to rank every time it happens, if you know what I mean. there are a bunch of guys that a usually trying to do it, but the makeup changes each time. ive had it happen to me when 13 was online but bucs wasn't, and vice versa. they both had it happen last time when I wasn't on, and so on.
maybe we should go back through the support threads about it, see who was online and ask what they were doing. but I'm at a loss to figure out what anyone could be doing that was so radically different with that page.

I forget what it is for Zeta, I think either 10 or 11 est. Stu, you have no o-line by the way...

Might we be able to adjust the draft bot to only consider players in the 1-16 slot for 1st round selection, 17-32 for 2nd, etc?
In general, I move the guys I want to draft to the top of the 16 or 32 player section corresponding to the draft pick checked in the top form. If my picks are are gone, I want the best available. Ideally the unwanted/over-rated have been demoted.
Lastly, could we display the choice box at the top of the draft rankings in it's final form after the draft is run? I'd like to see for future reference.

In the BPFL draft, class of '44, Tol selected 1 in the C row, moved a center from pk 20 to #1 and checked the 1st round box only. All other 1st round boxes were left blank. The promoted C was selected before Tol's pick. The draft bot went down to pk #67 and handed Tol an early 5th round C for their 1st pick. This is machine logical but in NFL logic, when ones' pick is snatched prematurely, the team goes w/ the best available player.Might we be able to adjust the draft bot to only consider players in the 1-16 slot for 1st round selection, 17-32 for 2nd, etc?

I don't know what benefit your suggestion would really have, to be honest. if you had you settings to C only in the first and only top 1-16/32 in the first round and only one C ranked in the top 16/32 who got drafted ahead of your pick then I think you'd have had a better chance of crashing the draft then what you want happening because there would have been literally no one AFE would have been allowed to draft for you.

or you could just set up your draft in a more logical fashion?
