Jack Jackson of the Baltimore National Bohemians of the GGL, gets the AL Rookie of the Year for his 17-6, 3.70 ERA season. Comes back the next season and wins the Cy by going 20-7 with a 3.02 ERA.
Wish I could say I was brilliant enough to draft him, but I just took over the team a few seasons ago and found him patiently racking up ICs in the minors. Great endurance and decent health, too. Think I'll pitch his arm off.

Year four, and 1/3 of the way into the season - 12 starts, he's 9-2 with a 1.51 ERA. That's run-of-the-mill amazing - I'm sure lots of other SimDers have had pitchers of similar quality. What I really like is 7 CG so far - league single-season record is 19, so he could get it...

A lot of SimD "experts" would say that a pitcher like this isn't that great, nor worth a high (7th overall) 1st round pick.
Obviously they're wrong.
Unless we're talking a system 3/4 league, mid to high B/A+ pitchers are among the league's elite hurlers.
