Nice reach streak

Baltimore's Bob Dent went 0-4 with 2K in game 33 of the 2006 season - the first time all year he's been kept of the basepaths. In that 32-game streak, he had an 0-3 with a walk and an 0-2 with two walks, so it's not a traditional hitting streak, but still a hell of a hot streak. To date, he's hitting .414, on-base .480, and slugging .766.

No, he is not on the trade block.

When I see a post like this I miss the days when I used to look at every single boxscore and hang my heart on each day's wins and losses.

Congrats to Dent and you, 'Train!

He has cooled off in the last few games. Now he's only hitting .393.

Reminds me of something I heard a player say (I think it was George Brett) - you know how hard it is to hit .400? If you're chasing .400, and you have a game where you go 1-for-3 with a walk, your average goes down. That's how hard it is.
