On August 18th and 25th, FOX will air 2 hour 'marathons' of Family guy at 8:00 pm. They're doing it to boost ratings against the Olympics and to preview the revival of the series. Family Guy has come back to prime time:cool:August 09, 2004 at 02:49AM View formatted

Thats pretty cool, I used to like that show. Haven't seen it in a while.August 09, 2004 at 02:56AM View BBCode
Not yet. New episodes begin June 2005. These will be 'classic episodes.'August 09, 2004 at 02:57AM View BBCode
Oh, well then its not as cool. Just mildly. June 2005 will be cool though.August 09, 2004 at 03:49AM View BBCode
Family guy is awesome. My cousins' have the entire third season on DVD, we watched the whole thing at the beach. It is a great show.August 10, 2004 at 03:35AM View BBCode
The best episode ever is "I am Peter, hear me roar" of the ones ive seen. It is in season 2, and is incredibly sexist.August 10, 2004 at 03:38AM View BBCode
Maybe it's just me, I never cared for Family Guy that much. Peter always struck me as a horrible character to base a show around. I hated his character so much that I couldn't stand to bother watching the show... *shrug*August 10, 2004 at 03:38AM View BBCode
That's a really good one. "Road to Rhode Island" and the "Brian on Coke" episodes are also good.August 11, 2004 at 06:08AM View BBCode
is it me, or does the father look like he has an extra set for a chin?August 11, 2004 at 06:15AM View BBCode
And Chris has a promising future as a goldfish, if he can only get his grades up.August 11, 2004 at 09:56AM View BBCode
Stewie makes the show, he is beyond funny! The thing with Family Guy is it's a different kind of funny than other shows, instead of mildly laughing throughout the entire episode you may sit quietly for 15 minutes then bust out laughing during a really funny scene. It's a show that you watch waiting for that hilarious 30 second clip.August 11, 2004 at 03:07PM View BBCode
I do remember that one though. He refused to wear the yarmulke? :lol:August 11, 2004 at 04:37PM View BBCode
That one's "The Weinsteins," or "Remember the Weinsteins" or something like that. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it got them canceled by FOX--not too PC.August 11, 2004 at 05:04PM View BBCode
yeah Whiskey that's the episode I was talking about. It's my favorite episode. I don't think it ever aired on Fox, the network didn't like the idea of an entire episode consisting of so many steriotypes. Personally I don't think it was an offensive episode at all, it was obvious they were joking and the steriotypes were usually positive. It plays on Cartoon Network thoughAugust 11, 2004 at 05:07PM View BBCode
Yeah, I think it's pretty hypocritical of FOX to try to walk a highroad one minute, then shovel fecal matter like Trading Spouces and The Simple Life 2--to say nothing of (whisper) those paragons of journalism, fair-and-balanced Fox News Channel.August 11, 2004 at 05:12PM View BBCode
The Simpsons and random sports are the only reason I watch fox. Everything else makes me gag.August 11, 2004 at 05:14PM View BBCode
I believe the episode is "When You Wish upon a Weinstein." Cartoon Network removed a line from the song so it would be TV friendly. I watched it on DVD, where the line remains, but I didn't catch which one was so bad. Soth Park has episodes that are way more anti-semetic than Family GuyAugust 11, 2004 at 05:18PM View BBCode
There it is Hobos. Yeah, I agree South Park is more anti-semitic. I thought FOX was cringing because the show was pretty harsh about Christianity (or was it specifically Catholicism?) as well as Judaism.Pages: 1
