It's too late because the damage is already done. Montreal got the 1st overall pick for two straight seasons now. Something needs to be done. I think the easiest way for this league to survive for the long term would be for Bahston to pack up shop and leave. [/quote]

Not going to happen. Admin has told you in the past, when you thought I owned multiple teams, that you were wrong.

There is a trade veto system in place and it works. The trade you keep complaining about had 7 owners in favor (5 vote yes + 2 owners involved in deal), 5 vote against, and 4 not vote/abstain. 7/12 is 58%. I guess you think your vote should count more than other people's votes?

The other trades were overturned...bummer but Im not crying about it because those are the trade veto ptocesses at work. Look, if you dont like the veto system then find a league with a different system. Or you can keep spending your money here...up to you.

I wonder what admin would do if there were 10 owners that didn't renew? Other owners on the main board including past Wally Berger owners have said that they think the league should be disbanded if you(Bahston) won't leave. I guess admin may not have a choice if no one renewed.

You could always put your money where your mouth is and not renew. Start a revolution, pecker. What's stopping you?

With all this drama and the unfairness, I will not be returning to this league next season.

I am having deep second thoughts, as well. I need to cut down on the number of teams I own, and this stuff is making the decision ridiculously easy.

I would suggest that the two of you need to "get a room," but my fear would be that only one of you would exit it alive.

Stop personal attacks. Now. I don't know how many times or how many ways to say it. STOP PERSONAL ATTACKS. NOW.

Every time I think this league is getting almost normal you two start this up again. I don't care one bit that you don't like each other. You will BOTH stop sniping at each other. NOW.

Leaving as well.

I am leaving this league as well. Detroit is on the for sale list, after 59 seasons of play by this owner. The perverse and unnatural things that happen in this league are too much. I don't know exactly what this is, but it is not simulation baseball, and it is not any fun. Is this not supposed to be about fun? I am also leaving my other Dynasty League after 58 seasons. Perhaps I will meet a better class of owners in the Speed Leagues.

Let's keep the league - keep it going.

And .... Let there be some water under the bridge. This ordeal is not as bad as people are making it. First off, two trades were reversed and one terrible deal went through. So be it ... Yet, the announcement that one is leaving stirs the pot. Admin always sends a message of the deadline renewals and simply don't renew.

The true question remains on me proposal of an overturn trade fine where an owner must suspend business with their trade partner for an allotted time. Running away from the trading issues only extends it out. All the while, it makes since to punish owners who can't seem to trade in good faith. More power will be in the veto - knowing if a trade gets overturn, no business with that particular team will be done. One must wait a half of a season and must go to the others to cut deals. The engineers can make it happen if they want ...

Let's keep the league and move forward on this premise - as a pilot even. Deep breathing please ...

Maze, you have not been around along enough to know that we have been through this before. The problem is not going to go away, and without help from Admin, there is not much that can be done. I am doing the only thing they will allow us to do, which is to leave a bad league. This league has serious problems. We are the laughing stock of the message board. Yeah, people like to make it out as being the fault of one person. Truth is, there are too many enablers in this league. Too many people willing to allow bad trades to happen, too many people willing to give away CP, too many people willing to "let some water under the bridge". Plus, the environment Admin has created in the Dynasty Leagues has allowed all this silliness to happen. No, I am done here. Anyone here willing to stay after all this deserves the current state of the Wally Berger League.

Maze, your idea is not a bad one, but it would require a level and amount of coding that Admin has clearly demonstrated they have neither the time nor resources to pursue. They are unable to make *any* changes to the code that we have seen, let alone something that would require an advanced level of work.

I am a forgiving sort (Worship Pastor at my church, yo), and so will most likely stay, especially as I hate leaving a league while I have negative Prestige there. But I admit this is a high point on the seas of Dynasty League Drama that threatens to capsize my little San Diego rowboat.

While the impetus for this debacle may have been driven by one owner, the fire has been stoked and fed by another. Let us hope, when everything cools and turns to embers that we are not looking at the ashes of the WBL.

Admin, please close this thread.
