Big Series in the NL

My Bums traveled to Milwaukee looking to expand on our 3 game lead over the 2nd place Suds. Unfortunately, the home team humiliated the boys from Brooklyn with a 3 game sweep to pull into a tie for the NL lead. Great job by the Suds in a big series. Now I just hope my boys can bounce back to regain our lead.

The series was big for Milwaukee - the hope now is that we can stay with Brooklyn to the end of the season. This one could go down to the wire...

With 30 games left in the season, it's make or break time in the NL as the first place Brooklyn Bums take on the 2nd place Milwaukee Suds.
The Suds have skidded badly after their dramatic sweep of the Bums propelled them into a first place tie, going 6-12 over the past 18 games. Perhaps they shouldn't have been drinking so may suds in celebration. ;)
My Bums have rebounded nicely since being swept, winning 12 of their last 18 to open a 6 game lead. Can newly acquired ace pitcher Count Leonard help the Bums put away the Suds and lead the boys from Brooklyn to their third straight World Series appearance? Or will the Suds rise to the occasion and sweep the Bums again to keep the race alive? We'll find out today at 12:30.
Go Bums!

Unfortunately the fans in Brooklyn will not be able to watch the game on TV because of contract disagreements between the newly formed YEP network and the local cable company.
When a representative from the Bums was asked to comment on the situation, they replied "What the hell is cable?"
