Records Watch...

Rodney Woods is back at it again, crushing saves like it's his job...which is good because it is.

He is quickly moving up the all-time saves list, up to 12th all time and only OS34. He could crack the top 10 by the end of this season, and I would say has a pretty great chance to get to 700 saves which has only been done by 1 closer ever (Johnny Morris).

Whatever you feel about saves, it's always nice to have someone who locks it down at the end of the game!

I need to check out some of the other records too and will try to update a records post soon.

Had 16 runs in a game without a HR but probably couldn't check on that one?

Ok so here's what I found:

Hitters
- Nobody closing in on HR milestones, only two active guys in the top 150 (Cloy Moret and Steve Stephenson) who are almost ready to retire. HR's just seem down lately, not sure if anyone will crack 40 HR this season.
- Nobody in the top 150 in hits, RBI's, runs

Pitchers
- Shaun Spades Little is at 293 wins, but I highly doubt he will return next season, and he doesn't have 7 starts left, so 300 seems unlikely
- Shane Hippauf sits at 276 wins, will pick up a few more this season, and should return for next season. He is probably 50/50 to get to 300 depending on if he does well enough next year to return the following year
- Al Williams of the Giants is cruising along with 18 wins this year to bring him to 258 wins, but he's 36. 300 seems very unlikely unless he can crank out 2 more productive seasons and stick around for a third season
- Rodney Woods has moved up to 11th all time in saves with 592, and given that he is crushing it with a sub-2.00 ERA at 34 y.o., I have to say I like his chances to make a run at 700 and potentially 730 (1st place)
- A sleeper is rising in the closer ranks, 28 y.o. Joe Ramirez in Seattle has cracked the top 150 all time and is at 247 saves. He will have some up and down seasons, but pencil him in for 8+ more seasons
