Races off to a weird start

April 23, 2002 at 11:47AM View BBCode

In the AL, thanks to a 17-2 start the New York Black Yankees look like they might run away with the race, having opened a 6 game lead over their nearest competitor.

Things are MUCH tighter in the NL, however. 5 teams are within one game of the lead, and all 8 teams are within 3 games of each other.

After 22 games the NL is even crazier. 7 teams are within 1 game of the lead, and the 8th is only 4 games out. Parity rules in the NL.

Looks like everyone is copying the Bums' approach - start the season quietly, then make a big run in the middle of the season...;)

Cool looks as though my improvement in pitching has got me in the race with those damn bums. I've got my hitters, and i've got my pitcing...whew watch out i just might end the bums dynasty.(no jinks, no jinks....)

the monsters are getting scary now, going 10-2 in their last 12 games. they've closed the gap down to 1 game out of first. if this see saw keeps up ill have no nails by the end of the season :)
