I was wondering if anybody knew what the major league record for triples by a team in a season is? Obvliously there is a long time to go in this season but my Chicago smp have 9 triples in 15 games. That leaves us on a early season pace for 97 triples.

In the American League, the team record for triples in a season is 112, shared by the Baltimore Oriioles (1901) and the Boston Pilgrims (1903).
In the National League, the record is 153, held by the Baltimore Orioles (1894).
The individual season record is 36, achieved by Chief Wilson in 1912, playing for Pittsburgh in triple-happy Forbes Field.
Looks like you've got a long way to go to beat those world-renowned '94 Baltimore Orioles, but best of luck!

I went to look up this record before I saw it had already been posted, so I won't bore you with a repeat... however I did run into something while I was lookin that may be interesting. :)
"A triple is like meeting a woman who excites you, spending the evening talking and getting more excited, then taking her home. It drags on and on and you're never sure how it's going to turn out." - George Foster
Me thinks George needed to get out more. :)
