This might be considared a completely different game, but I'm throwing it out there. We draft our team the same way, and basically each player is given to us with a set age and ranking, same as usual. Except you can change the attributes, but not the overall ranking. For instance, if you have a pitcher with A vel and B con, you could change it to B vel and A control, or C+ vel and A+ control and whatnot. It might rob the game of some of what it is, but would also be fun.June 03, 2003 at 09:04PM View BBCode
i also mean you could only change them initally, only once. and not age either.June 03, 2003 at 09:16PM View BBCode
I really don't think this would be a good idea. I like the uniqueness (is that a word?) of each given player. I think it represents real baseball rather well.June 04, 2003 at 03:08AM View BBCode
i think customized players is fun to do but not so in SD in which the main difficulty is to draft good players without knowing the player pool... you basically tell the scouts what to look for and trust them completely.June 04, 2003 at 06:17PM View BBCode
Sorry - my biggest complaint is I cannot tell my scouts not to draft a RP in top 10 picks. RP do not pitch to their ratings in this sim and taking one over a similary rated player kills your team - especially high.June 04, 2003 at 07:28PM View formatted

I like the idea of molding your own players ... but not directly and NOT easily. Think of training them over many years, and through this training they get molded.Pages: 1
