Where are all the Minnesota and Philly fans? This looks like its going to be a great game this weekend w/o TO playing. Where are all the diehard fans of these teams? Eagle fans usually talk more smack than Yankee fans.I personally think the men in purple are going to take it but its goign to be tough in Philadelphia.

I doubt they lose. Brian Westbrook is healthy, and Philly should be able to control the ball long enough to keep Randy "Moon" and Culpepper off the field.

I like the Eagles in this game but I think that Minnesota will give them a good game. With Owens out McNabb will revert back to the way he played in years past. He will look at his primary read and if there is nothing there he will take off. There should also be more passes to the tight ends and backs. His completion % will probably be around 55-57% whcih is about what it was before Owens' arrival in Philly. The key to the game is Brian Westbrook. He is a good receiving threat and a speedy runner. Minnesota's linebacking corps don't have a lot of speed and make poor decisions which may force Minnesota to bring up a safety and have him double Westbrook. Also Moss is not 100% healthy and Philly's secondary has three starting Pro Bowlers and one of the best defenses in the league. It is one thing to light it up against the Packers' D which is about as resistant as a wet paper bag, but it is another to light up a top defense.

Not sure if they can win in Philly, especially with a hurt Randy Moss, but it should be a very good game, low scoring I believe. Well, low for these two teams, under 50 points.

I like the Vikings in this spot for two reasons:1. No TO.
2. Eagles' regulars haven't played in a month.

Hey, Eagles haven't played their regulars in a game for a month, but they're still practicing. Not playing in the game may have an effect on the first series or two of the game, but as the offense comes p to full speed, I feel the Philly defense will be able to negate the Vikings enough for the first couple plays of the game.The Vikings are too inconsistent to ever be a serious pick.

1. The starters haven't played, but they still practice- It's not like they just sit there. They will also obviously be more rested than Minnesota.
2.The starters are pissed because the backups lost to the Bengals. They want to rip someone's head off, and that will make it tough for the Vikings.
However, I did wearsome inflatable viking horns this afternoon.

I llive near philly but i dont like the eagles, all my friends do though and they usually bragg a lot about the eagles, this week though they haven't been braging is that because they are afraid they are gonna lose maybe so, its gonna be a close game, i say the vikings get an early lead and lose it in the 4th quarter but win the game on the last drive. My prediction Viks-24 Birds-21

abarkov if andy reid is a strike against the Eagles then my favorite but not so great coach mike tice counts as a strike for viks.

I think Philly will win, McNabb will play well even without TO, and they will get the ball to Westbrook every way imaginable. Should be a good game.

Eagles should finally make the big game, only to be set down by the AFC champ. Unless the Jets make it somehow, then maybe the Birds can go all the way. It's true Eagles fans are scared - I live in Philly, and they are conditioned here to expect post-season disaster, and now with no TO that's all they can think about. But the players themselves are primed and ready, and if they can tune out the media panic, they'll remember that nobody in the NFC can beat them.
PS Jets are a longshot, but it's not unprecedented for an AFC underdog to get hot in the playoffs, and then get blown out in the Big Bowl. I wouldn't be too surprised to see an all-green Super Sunday.

Yeah smock, I agree it's a waltz for the Eagles this week. I also agree that no TO and Reid's play calling are a stumbling block, but the Vikings are a mess, and the Birds' personnel even sans TO is top notch. It takes a complete team like the Steelers or Pats who can run with authority and control possession and clock, on top of strength in every other phase of the game, to make Philly sweat. Minnesota doesn't match up well against them at all. Nor does Atlanta or St. Louis this year.Eagles should finally make the big game, only to be set down by the AFC champ. Minnesota is a very streaky team. The looked great against Green Bay but all that means nothing the next week. It is always a gamble to bet on them because they can either make you look like a genious or a moron.
