Where are all the Minnesota and Philly fans? This looks like its going to be a great game this weekend w/o TO playing. Where are all the diehard fans of these teams? Eagle fans usually talk more smack than Yankee fans.January 13, 2005 at 05:09AM View BBCode

This is bordering on an off-topic thread right now. Lets' get it back to the game.January 13, 2005 at 12:03PM View BBCode
I like the Eagles in this game but I think that Minnesota will give them a good game. With Owens out McNabb will revert back to the way he played in years past. He will look at his primary read and if there is nothing there he will take off. There should also be more passes to the tight ends and backs. His completion % will probably be around 55-57% whcih is about what it was before Owens' arrival in Philly. The key to the game is Brian Westbrook. He is a good receiving threat and a speedy runner. Minnesota's linebacking corps don't have a lot of speed and make poor decisions which may force Minnesota to bring up a safety and have him double Westbrook. Also Moss is not 100% healthy and Philly's secondary has three starting Pro Bowlers and one of the best defenses in the league. It is one thing to light it up against the Packers' D which is about as resistant as a wet paper bag, but it is another to light up a top defense.January 13, 2005 at 02:28PM View BBCode
I like the Vikings in this spot for two reasons:January 13, 2005 at 03:03PM View BBCode
2 very good points Tom. And also 2 of the reasons I like MInn. I also think that Moss is going to have a field day against Phills DBs'January 13, 2005 at 04:30PM View BBCode
Hey, Eagles haven't played their regulars in a game for a month, but they're still practicing. Not playing in the game may have an effect on the first series or two of the game, but as the offense comes p to full speed, I feel the Philly defense will be able to negate the Vikings enough for the first couple plays of the game.January 13, 2005 at 05:40PM View BBCode

I think Philly will win, McNabb will play well even without TO, and they will get the ball to Westbrook every way imaginable. Should be a good game.January 14, 2005 at 01:49AM View BBCode
Get off the Vikings bandwagon everybody.January 14, 2005 at 02:50AM View BBCode
Yeah smock, I agree it's a waltz for the Eagles this week. I also agree that no TO and Reid's play calling are a stumbling block, but the Vikings are a mess, and the Birds' personnel even sans TO is top notch. It takes a complete team like the Steelers or Pats who can run with authority and control possession and clock, on top of strength in every other phase of the game, to make Philly sweat. Minnesota doesn't match up well against them at all. Nor does Atlanta or St. Louis this year.January 16, 2005 at 07:03PM View BBCode
21-7 Philly so far after an LJ Smith fumble shoots foward into the hands of Freddie Mitchell for a Eagle's touchdown. That was amazing:oJanuary 16, 2005 at 07:15PM View BBCode
Yeah so far Philly is getting all the breaks. Lokks like a lot of people including myself will have some crow to eat after this one.January 16, 2005 at 07:25PM View BBCode
Minnesota is a very streaky team. The looked great against Green Bay but all that means nothing the next week. It is always a gamble to bet on them because they can either make you look like a genious or a moron.January 16, 2005 at 07:26PM View BBCode
I'll have you know I don't need Minnesota's help to look like a moron.;)January 16, 2005 at 08:02PM View BBCode
Nuts Philly interception and leading by 14. Looks like real trouble for Minnesota.January 16, 2005 at 08:17PM View BBCode
Who knew the best No. 84 on the field would be Freddie Mitchell?January 16, 2005 at 08:20PM View BBCode
Surely you jest in the idea that Randy Moose could EVER be the best #84 on ANY NFL field of play.Pages: 1 2
