Kenny Rogers and the cameraman

Okay, after seeing numerous reruns of the camera incident and the interview I have come to a few conclusions
1. Kenny Rogers is an idiot
2. If the cameraman was in fact injured than he probably should not even go outside for fear of breaking a hip while walking
3. Rogers probably deserves to pay off the nancy boy camerman to heal his imaginary injuries.

20 days seems like too long of a suspension to me. Don't you get 10 or 15 days for taking steroids?...which is actually cheating and has something to do with you know...baseball. I guess him being a starting pitcher is probably what made them decide to give him that long of a suspension, but still.

Which is you know... a game.
;)
That said, I still haven't seen more then a short clip of the incident (which may be all there is?) and that looked pretty weak.

I know, but they are suspending him for so long from the game for something that has absolutely nothing to do with the game itself, while taking steroids has everything to do with the game, and gets a shorter suspension.

Point 1: Those cameras are friggin' heavy...and expensive...and the guy was trying not to drop it, and I've seen baseball players go down for months with much less severe incidents.
Point 2: Like it or not, part of being a baseball player is being a representative of the game. Which, if nothing else, means not being an embarrassment to it. Kenny Rogers f'ed that up about as completely as possible, and deserves what he got.
Point 3: Rogers deserves a longer suspension than a position player would get in such a case, since he's a starter who only works every five days.
Point 4: It's a stiff penalty, but given that the act was apparently unprovoked, it's reasonable.

Yeah, like Sammy Sosa throwing his back out sneezing.
Rogers is a jerk and while the "attack" didn't look very malicious you can't go around pushing cameramen or their equipment. Therefore, a suspension is warranted.
