GO DOLPHINS!

September 27, 2005 at 04:07PM View BBCode

Yes, it's too early to tell. Three games into the season, FEH!

But hey, in those three games, they've already amassed HALF of their previous season's win total! Major players? The arrival of Ronnie Brown to replace our resident stoner... And Nick fucking Saban.

If there are any other Fin fans out there, who's with me in thinking they can actually take the East what with the disbanding of the coaching staff in New England?

This is also taking in to account the fact that New England, unlike Miami, has won their two games by a damn nosehair... Which can only mean one thing... Their lucky streak started one week too soon for this season.

So what, now Ricky Williams is passing his ganja around to any Dolphin fans who ask for it?

The Pats are still the best team in the league, and your team still starts Gus Frerotte.

My team wins with Gus Frerotte.

The Jets and Bills both have crappier quarterbacks. The wild card is an outside possibility, though winning the division is out of the question unless Tom Brady goes out for the year with a case of herpes from so much...yeah.

The Patriots are lucky? Yeah, I guess 3 super bowl championships in 4 seasons is all due to luck.

Plus, the Pats losing their two coordinators is one of the most over-hyped issues in the NFL. It's not like they re-did their entire coaching staff or are using new systems. They promoted a sought after coach to D-coordinator and he has been with the team for a while, plus Belicheck is a defensive guy. Their O-coordinator situation is a bit more hazy because they don't have a specific coordinator but they are using the same system they've been using for years. All of the hype this gets is the media trying to figure out a way to say the Patriots aren't going to win this year. Sports shows and articles would be boring if they all said, "yep, the Pats are the best again, this dynasty will continue to roll".

And thus answering the age-old question, "What's worse than a delusional Dolphins fan?" Ooh ooh, pick me, I'm ever so smart! "An insufferable Patriots fan."

Tom Brady was born on a mountaintop on the lost continent of Atlantis.

Actually, according to nfl.com, Brady was born in San Mateo, California.

I think what they meant to say is that he was born in Atlantis but a stork brought him to his human family in California.

Everybody knows Brady was born on Mount Olympus just like any other god

I don't know about being born on Mt. Olympus, but his ass was surely blessed by the gods.

As much as I love a good Tom Brady lovefest lest not get too OT here.

The Fins will start out hot as always. Wether they have a good QB or not Miami is known to start out great and then lay down like a dog when when the weather gets cold.

Just like last year, when they lost their first 6 games and won 2 of the last 3 (including against the TomBradyiots)

Thank you, ME, for somewhat... I guess... taking a goatish side in this conversation.

FTP, I always seem to find it to be pretty lucky whenever a team finds its way to win games in the final minute or so. And two of their three Super Bowl wins were won in this fashion, were they not? Not to mention the two wins they've garnered this season as well... I'm not discounting the fact that a W is a W, but maybe... the proof is in the pudding, or... I haven't been getting enough sleep lately. Argh.

C'mon, this is a ridiculous converstaion. The Pats went 34 and 4 in the past two seasons including two super bowl wins. You need more than luck to do that.

Back to the topic though, Miami made a smart move by signing Saban who is a Bellicheck cronie. There is no chance they'll win the AFC East but they'll improve and be good in a few seasons. I also wouldn't be surprised if they beat the Pats in Miami this season. They always seem to confuse Brady. Miami needs to add a QB (Phillip Rivers?) and some more depth.

Whooo hooo!!!! They won 2 out of the last 3 last year! Wow, I bet that meant alot to them considering they were out of playoff contention by week 4. Why don't you dig a little deeper ME and find out how they do in the playoffs and when it really gets down to crunch time when a win is needed. For as far back as I can recall they always crap out when it really matters.

... Aside from being the only professional franchise in history to finish a season without a loss. That was probably before you can recall, though.

Patriots fans don't like to remember anything before about 1996, for obvious reasons.

You said the Dolphins start out hot, he merely showed that they did not and that they did better at the end of the season.

I am beginning to like ME more and more due to being able to identify with his Dolphins-fan-ness, but liking only in the platonic, non-gay way us guys who root for the same football team are supposed to 'like' each other.

Unless you're from a Raiders fan, and you have a tendency to beat the shit out of anything that moves on Game Day.
