thanks for the replies fellas. i only wish my opposing owners would participate. I think i might have to go to pay league next season. Any suggestions?

If you are into the single season go for the dynasty league for sure. Check out the message board for the Willie Mays League. One of our owners even set up his own website for offseason awards.

On the flip side, my Willie mays league Brooklyn Dodgers are on a 7-game losing strea, and have a 9-game losing streak earlier this season. i think I got up to a 10-game losing streak last season...

Ouch, those are bad losing streaks.....are you going for a better pick in the amatuer draft now....and just trying to be a thorn in somebody else's playoff hopes?

I'd love to close out the season with a 20-game streak and follow that with a 4-game winning streak in the Series. I'm not holding my breath on that one, though. ;)

With 20 games left in the beta league season, my Bums were tied with the Chicago Gangsters for first place. Thanks to a 14-game winning streak (including a sweep of arch-rival Chicago), I've managed to open a 6 game lead with 6 to play.I'd love to close out the season with a 20-game streak and follow that with a 4-game winning streak in the Series. I'm not holding my breath on that one, though. ;)
