Bunting problems

My pitcher, Sam Iott, went 0 for 1 with a sacrifice bunt. However, in the box score he is credited as 1 for 1. My guess is that the sacrifice was not counted as an at-bat, but it was credited as a hit.
Later in that same game, Hod Morgan came in as a pinch hitter for Chicago (he hit for the pitcher). He executed a successful sacrifice bunt and was credited with a hit (but no AB). This presents two problems: 1) Same as above and 2) Since Morgan isn't a pitcher, he probably shouldn't be bunting. My guess is that the decision to bunt was made before the decision to pinch hit.

In this, Jim Wilson pinch hit for my pitcher Charlie Senteney with a man on 2nd and one out. He laid down a successful sacrifice bunt, but the box score credited him with 1 hit and 0 AB.
Also, when sacrifice bunts are extended to include position players, it wouldn't make sense to sacrifice with a man on 2nd and 1 out. If there weren't any outs, that would be O.K. If he was on 1st with one out, that would be fine too. While pitchers might sacrifice in this situation (although even this is questionable), I don't think any position player would bunt with a man on 2nd and 1 out.
Inning: 8 Brooklyn
George King comes in from the bullpen to pitch. Alfredo Hinton flies out to the left fielder. Tim Harris doubles. Jim Wilson is pinch hitting for Charlie Senteney. Jim Wilson lays down a bunt. He is thrown out at first. Runners advance. Clint McCord singles. Tim Harris scores. Thorny Anderson flies out to the left fielder

It looks like my pitcher Blaine Pence was trying to sacrifice with 2 outs. Unless he was attempting to bunt for a base hit, this is not very bright.
Inning: 4 Brooklyn
Jackie Smith pops out to the second baseman. Andres Isales reached on a fielding error by Barry Tewksbury. Thorny Anderson walks. Passed ball. Andres Isales advances to third. Thorny Anderson advances to second. Lefty Hamilton flies out to the left fielder. Runner on third tags, Andres Isales scores. Blaine Pence lays down a bunt. He is thrown out at first. Runners advance.

Peakaboo Veach went 1-0 ina game. He had a sac bunt in his only PA.

Candy Cummings went 1-1 with a SH and a K.

Next game, an inning ends like this- Fred Goldsmith lays down a bunt. He is thrown out at first. Runners advance.
My last game has this
Kevin Pierotti is pinch hitting for Hoss Radbourn. Kevin Pierotti fails to lay down the sacrifice. There are now 2 strikes. Kevin Pierotti strikes out. Kevin Pierotti flies out to the left fielder.
I find it odd that my pitcher would be pinch hit for in order to lay down a bunt, or try since the pinch bunter failed. Then he struck out and flew out to left field.
The next inning starts like this:
Monte Ward is pinch hitting for Al Curry. Monte Ward grounds out to the shortstop. Dolan Dihigo strikes out.
All Curry was the new pitcher. So my pinch bunter for the pitcher is 0-2 on one AB and the pitcher's spot leads off the next inning, who got pinch hit for and was out. Dihigo should have lead off the 8th.
Innning 9 with one out:
Spider Clark is pinch hitting for Joe Thompson. Abner Dalrymple steals second. Spider Clark lays down a bunt. He is thrown out at first. Runners advance. Dolan Dihigo grounds out to the shortstop.
I'm tied in the 9th with the pitcher's spot coming up. Spider Clark pinch bunts. Dalrymple stole second, with one out, should take off the sac bunt sign at any rate. Bunting a guy to 3rd with one down doesn't seem like a smart decision, especially since the guy on base just stole second.

Just thought I'd throw a few more examples down to help pin point any problems.
The XMB BB Code was not working correctly, I had to copy and past the addresses in, which seems to work fine, but the formatting is not quite right.

I had the same problems in the game at http://www.simdynasty.com/beta/boxscore.jsp?boxscoreid=2635&cityid=5 . The upshot is that my pitcher now has a 2.000 average, showing 2 hits in one at-bat!

Hey, Tyson... I'd like to see what my pinch-hit formula would have done here. Could you show us the numerical ratings for:
Chicago:
Hod Morgan - Bunt, Power V Right, Contact V Right, Speed
Johnny Benjamin - Bunt, Power V Right, Contact V Right, Speed
Al Harris - Power V Right, Contact V Right
Ray Scott - Speed
Brooklyn:
Frank Lubratich - Range
Jackie Smith - Range
Clint McCord - Range
Thorny Anderson - Range
This will give us a good real-world situation to check out if the formula is valid, and if so, if it's valid for pitchers as well or if they should be special-cased like you're doing now.

Oops, I had something in the wrong spot for at bats and singles. I fixed that one. Also fixed the thing where the pinch hitter bunted.
Still trying to figure out why they bunted with 2 outs. My code looks right, but I'm not sure what's going on.
I'll post the ratings in a bit for those players, it will take a little bit to get them together.
But I think having managerial tendencies is the best way to do it. I can also add stealing onto that screen too, its already baked into some of the equations, just not being used yet.

Ok, I think I have the two outs thing working. I ran about 30 games and didn't see it come up.
Hod Morgan - bunt(37) contact(66) power(74) speed(82)
Johnny Benjamin - bunt(52) contact(7) power(11) speed(43)
Al Harris - power(23) contact(56)
Ray Scott - speed(34)
Frank Lubratich - arm(49) range(73)
Jackie Smith - arm(61) range(22)
Clint McCord - arm(26) range(31)
Thorny Anderson - arm(60) range(37)
I included arms for these guys because you may want to factor that into the equation. If you have a quick thirdbaseman, but he throws rainbows, you can probably still get away with bunting to him.

It looks like everything is fixed. I noticed a couple of bunts which were recorded correctly so that's definitely better. I also saw a situation with the pitcher up (early in the game so you wouldn't pinch hit), a man on first and two outs. The pitcher correctly hit away, so that looks fixed as well. I didn't see a case where a pitcher was pulled and the pinch hitter bunted, so I can't confirm that fix yet.

With a man on 2nd and 1 out, the pitcher Nolan Ryan lays down a bunt. It looks like he did a bad job, however, because Rod Carew got nailed at third. However, the text reads "Rod Carew forced out at third." Since this isn't a force play, the language is incorrect. Doesn't really impact game play, so it's not a big deal. Still, I felt I should point it out.
Inning: 2 Pittsburgh
Johnny Bench singles. John Goossen hits a home run. Johnny Bench scores. Oliver Marcelle pops out to the shortstop. Rod Carew doubles. Nolan Ryan lays down a bunt. Rod Carew forced out at third. Hank Aaron singles. Joe DiMaggio strikes out.
